GOTEK DRIVE FOR AMIGA USER GUIDE

Please follow these simple instructions and you will be up and running in no time.
1. Unplug your Amiga from the mains and unplug all other accessories.
2. You will need to access the diskette drive cables, so take off the top cover of your Amiga.
This will envolve removing several screws.
3. Unplug ribbon data cable from the floppy drive.
4. Unplug power cable from the floppy drive.
5. Take out retaining screws and remove the floppy drive.
6. Connect either the original data cable or a new extended cable.
7. If extended cable thread cable through drive slot top cover.
8. Replace the top cover but do not screw together just yet.
9. Sit the Gotek on the top cover and plug the data and power cables in. Note that the ribbon
cable will fit two ways. Hopefully you will get it right first time, but no damage will be caused
if you don`t.
10. Plug all other cables back into the Amiga but do not switch on .
11. Prepare a USB memory stick and insure it is formatted using FAT32 file system
12. Copy the require filesfrom the mini DVD onto your USB stick. Also copy from the CD any
ADF`s you may wish to run.
13. Insert the USB stick into the usb slot on the Gotek drive.
14. Switch on the Amiga.
15. After a few seconds you will see a menu showing the ADF files on the USB stick. If you see a
message saying the load has failed, select image 000 on the Gotek display using the two
buttons and restart the Amiga
16. When you are happy that all is ok, switch off the Amiga and screw the casing back together.
17. If you want to boot to a hard drive, simply remove the USB stick from the Gotek drive before
switching your Amiga on.

on your USB stick.
