This car is a winner!
Not only can you watch it go, you can see what makes it go.
Watch the gears turn as it zips around, turning whenever it
encounters as obstacle. Lights flash and music plays, too! This
transparent car provides multi-sensory engagement and promotes
curiosity. Adapted for use with an external capability switch (not
included), the car will run with sustained pressure on the switch.
Use without a switch for continuous operation. For ages 3+. Size:
8"L x 3½ "W x 2½"H. Requires 3 AA Batteries. Weight: 8½ lbs.
Operation:
1. Bump & Go Car requires 3 AA Batteries to operate. Alkaline
batteries are recommended because they last longer. Do not
use rechargeable batteries because they supply a lower
voltage and the unit may not perform as well. Never mix old
and new batteries together or different brands or types
together.
2. To install the batteries turn Bump & Go Car over and locate
the small screw on the battery cover door. Using a Phillips
head screwdriver open the compartment and install 3 AA
batteries paying close attention to proper battery polarity.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover and secure with the
screw. Connect to any external capability switch (not
included) via the cord jack located at the back of Bump & Go
Car. Bump & Go Car is equipped with a 1/8" female mono
jack for use with external capability switches that have a 1/8"
mono plug. Make sure you have your switch plugged in all
the way. There should be no gaps. When using an external
switch leave the ON/OFF switch set to OFF. Remove the
removable cap that covers the front wheels.
4. Actuate your capability switch and Bump and Go Car will spin
about when it hits an object and go in another direction. Lights
will flash and the engine spins. Bump and Go Car can also be
used without the use of an external switch, by turning the built
in ON/OFF switch to ON.
5. Bump & Go Car also come with a removable cap that covers
the front wheels to use if you want to use the plane in a
stationary position and just activate the lights and sound.
Troubleshooting:
Problem: Bump & Go Car does not function correctly.
Action #1: Replace the batteries paying close attention to proper
battery polarity.
Action #2: Make sure that the connection between the external
capability switch and the jack is plugged in all the way. There
should be NO gaps.
Action # 3: Make sure you have removed the cap that covers
the front wheels for use when you want to use the plane in a
stationary position.
Action #3: Try your switch/with another switch operated
toy/device in an effort to rule out your switch as the source of the
problem.
Care of Unit:
If you will not be using Bump & Go Car for an extended amount
of time, we recommend removing the batteries.
The Bump & Go Car can be wiped clean with any mild household
multi-purpose, non-abrasive cleaner and disinfectant. We
recommend Simple Green, which is a non-toxic biodegradable
all-purpose cleaner.
Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they will scratch the
surface of the unit. Do not submerge the unit, as it will
damage the electrical components.
