MULTIFUNCTION PEN
One pen features both a ballpoint and a mechanical pen. A total of four types of PILOT Multifunction Pen series are available: Revolving
Type, Click and Twist Type, Click and Button Type, and Slide Lever Type. Please refer to the proper Use and Care Guide before use.
Revolving Type (4+1/3+1/2+1)
•
How to use the ballpoint pen
(1) Turn the upper barrel to make the tip come out. Stop the
rotation at the color you want.
(2) To retract the tip, turn the upper barrel in the opposite
direction of (1).

How to use the mechanical pencil
(1) Turn the upper barrel to make the mechanical pencil come out.
Press the eraser cap to make the lead come out.
(2) To retract the lead, press the lead onto the paper while pushing the eraser
cap down.
(3) To retract the writing unit to its original position, turn the upper barrel in the
opposite direction of (1).
(4) Unscrew the eraser cap to use the eraser.
Lever Slide Type (4+1/2+1)

How to use the ballpoint pen
(1) Slide the lever with the indication mark (B or R) and a refill of
the indication color (B=Black or R=Red) comes out.
(2) To retract the tip, slide another lever.

How to use the mechanical pencil
(1) Slide the lever with the indication mark and the writing unit for
the mechanical pencil comes out to be fixed. Press the cap to make the lead come out.
* In the case of 4+1 Wood, slide the clip down and the mechanical pencil comes
out. Click the clip to make the lead come out.
(2) To retract the lead, press the lead onto the paper while pushing the eraser cap down.
* In the case of 4+1 Wood, press the lead onto the paper while pushing the clip down.
(3) To retract the writing unit, slide another lever.
(4) Unscrew the eraser cap off to use the eraser.
* In case of 4+1 Wood, pull out the eraser cap.

Unscrew the lower barrel to
detach.
* In the case of LEGNO and RiDGE,
hold the upper barrel and pull out
the lower barrel.

Pull the empty refill out.

Insert a new refill completely
into the refill holder.

Reassemble the pen by firmly
screwing together the
barrels.
* For the Legno and Ridge, reattach
the shaft to nish the process.
