APPLICATIONS The T264 calibrator is a piece of equipment that has been especially designed for use with any type of instrument that employs electrodes for pH measurement.
With loop control it is possible to verify regulator equipment, such as valve operation. SAFETY The T264 is a precision instrument and should only be used by personnel with adequate training. The use of electric magnitudes involves a series of risks that should also be contemplated and studied with respect to the area of work.
INSTRUMENT RECEPTION Gometrics takes special care so that every newly supplied calibrator is in perfect conditions, free from all defects and complete with all accessories. The standard instrument is delivered in individual packaging with the following contents: T264 Calibrator.
DESCRIPTION The T264 is a compact unit with reduced dimensions that enables it to be operated with just one hand. They include rechargeable batteries for portable operation, so that they can be used to make readings in the field. The foot incorporated at the rear of...
DISPLAY The T264 employs a 4½ digit LCD system. The display includes indications of the selected simulation mode or when the battery level is low. accordance with display capabilities, numeric and alphabetic characters are displayed. KEYPAD This is manufactured from Lexan®, which is highly resistant to aggressive substances ensuring a long lifetime.

With a short press the equipment is switched on. Having the equipment on, the display will light up with a short press. Hold for 2 seconds to turn off the T264. [IN/OUT] Switches from simulation to measurement mode and vice versa.
If already connected, when the charger switch on, the charging indication will also displayed. All batteries have a limited lifetime. These can be replaced in the T264 by the user, as described in the maintenance section (page 19).
PUTTING INTO OPERATION The T264 is switched by pressing the power button , provided that the battery has the appropriate level of charge or the instrument is connected to its charger. During the switch-on sequence the screen will display the following four stages: - Display test: In this mode all the display segments are turned on.
The T264 can also be employed as a direct millivolt generator / meter. One aspect to be taken into account when working with electrodes is that the generated millivolts correspond to the difference between two solutions that are joined by a porous membrane.

The T264 is a high precision instrument and the voltage signal readings are performed at high resolution, as is the associated mathematical processing. The analytic world has to contend with very high error margins, because although it is known that the instruments employed are of...
pH SIMULATION / mV GENERATION When the instrument is switched, the default mode is pH simulation. pH / mV generation display selection Initially the equipment is in pH simulation mode. This mode can be verified by observing that the decimal point of the reading flashes. Pressing the [pH/mV] key will switch to mV generation mode.

Once the calibrator has been correctly configured, it can be connected to the instrument to be calibrated. The T264 includes an impedance test that is intended to verify the suitability of an input for electrode measurement. To measure the voltage produced by the electrodes a high impedance input is required.
Pre-selection keys The T264 has six value pre-selection keys, [S1] to [s6]. The pH and mV generation modes have independent pre-selection points. Changing values assigned to the pre-selection keys If the values assigned to each key are to be modified, the following...
In measurement mode, the messages that can be displayed are the same as the once previously described for the battery, together with "Err.h" when the pH value exceeds T264 measurement capabilities and "Err.l" for lower values. The section on technical specifications lists these acceptable limits.
MAINTENANCE The T264 is a high quality instruments that does not require any especially complicated care. Rational use and conservation will ensure long instrument lifetimes. BATTERIES All, power accumulators have limited lifetimes, but correct maintenance will lengthen life and maintain performance.
3. Replace it with a new one paying attention to respect the polarity. 4. Place the plastic cover and fasten it with the screws. Only GOMETRICS EH6LF22H250 rechargeable battery should be used. The use of any other battery could damage the instrument.
If suitable standards are not available for calibration and adjustment, it should be sent to an accredited laboratory in order to obtain a correct level of certification and traceability. The T264 is adjusted with voltage units, which means there is no need for any analysis equipment. temperature...
Select the value "8888" using the [▲] and [▼] keys. Then press the [AUTO] key again. The screen will display the "F.CaL" message. The T264 has a generation scale with a range of approximately -1000 to +1000 mV. In order to adjust the instrument, a standard must be connected to the equipment's generating terminals in mV measurement mode with a scale that is suitable for measuring ±900 mV.
TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT Insert a 4 mm standard probe in the common terminal of the instrument and stabilize it for about 1h. Observe the instrument’s error in reference to the standard and deduct it. (Instrument - Standard = Error). In the generation mode, the adjustment is accessed by pressing and key until the “CodE”...
LCD 10 mm, 4½ digit, 7 segments Maximum indication: -19999 to 19999 MICROPROCESSOR The T264 incorporates a microprocessor 16 bits with 32 Kbytes of memory to control all instrument functions. 16-bit A/D converter. Non-volatile EEPROM which holds the configuration and adjustment data.
