CONGRATULATIONS! Enclosed is your IMSAI 8048 Control Computer
kit. In response to requests from many of you, we are sending
the basic kit to you at this time so that you may begin your
assembly work. We sincerely apologize for the delay in shipping
this new product to you. We were proud to announce the 8048
computer last spring, only days after our major integrated
circuit supplier announced the availability of the chips it uses.
Subsequently, that supplier experienced difficulties producing
these new chips; delivery to you therefore, has been delayed.
The supplier has now demonstrated to us an ability to produce
the new chips used on the 8048 Control Computer. These will be
delivered to you separately within a few days.
Again, thank you for your patience throughout this delay. We
know you will enjoy your new IMSAI 8048 Control Computer.
