The disconnection process is referred to as "exclusion" Both processes must be initiated by the gateway. Behaviour in the ZigBee Network The gateway serves as a base for the ZigBee network in order to communicate with other ZigBee certified devices and/or applications from other manufacturers.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation CONNECT THE GATEWAY WITH THE APP The following steps describe how to add your gateway to the app. 5.2.1 ADDING THE GATEWAY Tap on the button to add a new device. Tap on the Add ET Home Link button.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation 5.2.2 SELECTING A NETWORK The WiFi network to which your smartphone is connected is automatically displayed. If necessary, you can integrate the gateway in another Wi-Fi network. To do this, close the app and connect your smart- phone to the required Wi-Fi network.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation 5.2.4 CONFIGURATION OF THE GATEWAY The gateway automatically switches to Configuration mode. When Configuration mode is activated, the ZigBee LED lights up green/yellow continuously and the Wi-Fi LED flashes green/yellow. INFORMATION If the LEDs indicate a different status, reset the gateway to its default factory settings (see  Sec- tion 5.6 Resetting the Default Factory Settings on Page 40) and repeat the process.

The NFC function ("Near Field Commu- nication") enables compatible devices nearby to exchange data with each other by implementing wireless communication.

The process differs according to the operating system (Android, iOS) used on your smartphone. The follow- ing instructions describe the procedure for Android.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation OPERATING THE ET HOME LINK You can operate your gateway via the ET HomeLink app. Tap on the Gateway menu option. Tap on the tile of the gateway to open a detail view of the device with further information.

Tap on the Delete button to delete the gateway from the app. INFORMATION If you delete the gateway from the app, all the energy-saving controllers connected via the app (and other devices connected) are also deleted from the app.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation OPERATING AN ENERGY-SAVING CONTROLLER A condition for operating an energy-saving controller via the gateway is that one or more energy-saving controllers are connected via the ET Home Link app. Information on connecting an energy-saving controller to the gateway is available in the respective oper- ating manual.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation 5.4.3 HEATING PROFILE In the Heating profile menu, you set heating blocks with heating times for different days. You can set the temperature individually for each heating time. CREATING A HEATING PLAN Tap on the Heating plans menu option.

Ensure that the following condition is fulfilled: • The batteries have been inserted in the energy-saving controller.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Putting into Operation RESETTING THE DEFAULT FACTORY SETTINGS Should problems occur, it may help to reset the gateway to its default factory settings. Press and hold the Reset button on the rear side for 5 seconds.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Troubleshooting TROUBLESHOOTING Problems can occur with the gateway. In the case of problems, observe the information on the control lamps, see  Section 4.2 Display Elements on Page 11.

    ET Home Link DHA-263 Cleaning and Storage CLEANING AND STORAGE Disconnect the gateway from the power supply if the gateway will not be used for a longer period. Store the gateway in a dry, dust-free location. IMPORTANT! Material damage possible! Improper handling of the device can lead to damage.
