Remove all curtain material and other items that could be an obstruction prior to performing a transfer. Powering the Sky Track 430 lift ON & OFF There is an ON / OFF switch located directly on the Sky Track 430 Lift. The light on the lifts control panel will turn ORANGE if the batteries are low and need to be charged. -

UP DOWN Also, located in the middle front side of the SKY TRACK 430, is a panel that has UP and DOWN buttons. When pressing the DOWN arrow button, or the UP arrow button, the lift can be lowered or raised to the correct height for attaching the sling or positioning an individual. -

Guiding The SKY TRACK 430 Along The Track The SKY TRACK 430 can be easily guided along the track once connected to the trolley by simply pushing it by hand. It is recommended that the lift be first lowered to a desired height at which it can easily be pushed along the length of the track by hand. - Page 10 The lift may need to be raised or lowered, or re-positioned along the track in order to accomplish this. Lower the SKY TRACK 430 so that the carry bar hooks are at a height that makes connecting the straps of the sling easy to achieve. Steady the lift with one hand so that it does not accidentally come in contact with the head or body of the person to be lifted.

Page 11: Charging The Sky Track 430 Lift
Charging The Lift The batteries of the SKY TRACK 430 should be charged on a regular basis. It is recommended that the lift be charged after each use, however, do not leave the lift on charge at all times when not in operation. - Page 12 Step 1) Accustom yourself with the basic parts of the charging system. Step 2) Place the lift and charger on a surface such as a table or counter top. The surface must be clean and dry, and away from the reach of children. Step 3) Turn the lift OFF as described in the section titled “Turning the lift ON/OFF”.

It is imperative that the SKY TRACK 430 is charged for at least an hour, and the lift put into use. However, overnight charging is highly recommended. Caution: Do not allow the batteries to become discharged below the low battery alarm, in the event this is allowed it will decrease overall battery life and performance. -

Positioning the carry bar hooks upwards The SKY TRACK 430 portable ceiling lift has two carry bar hooks that may be turned upwards for storing or transporting making it more compact. Be sure to lower both carry bar hooks prior to using the lift. - Page 16 Complete the visual inspection as noted in the “Monthly” section above. Lift checked and passed. Any required repairs completed.
