  • Page 2 General Information and Overview Thank you for purchasing the 119286 winch kit. This kit assembly allows the operator to open and close the panels of your Retractable Vinyl Door system. These instructions describe the basic assembly of the winch kit components, how to attach assembly to the door frame, and how to string operating cable to make winch functional for purchased door kit.

  • Page 5 CLEARSPAN ACCESSORIES ™ STRING OPERATING CABLE Doors are opened and closed by spinning the winch to move a steel cable attached to the panel & looped through pulleys. When stringing, ensure cable is pulled tight. DO NOT ALLOW SLACK at any point along the cable path.
  • Page 6 CLEARSPAN ACCESSORIES ™ Move to the second interior grommet of the OUTER panel, and remove the nut and washer from the door pole bolt. Slip one 117248 lock-washer onto the open end of the bolt in the second interior grommet.
  • Page 7 CLEARSPAN ACCESSORIES ™ Fully open door panels. String cable to the upper corner double pulley and feed through the front pulley. 10. Feed cable down to the front right of the winch assembly. Feed cable through the FRONT pulley of the double pulley.

Pulling the cable tight to eliminate any slack, wrap the cable a MINIMUM of three times around the cable drum, starting in the front right corner, and staying in the cable drum grooves. See diagrams. ATTENTION: Due to the operating mechanics of the winch assembly, the cable will "walk" along the grooves of the cable drum.
  • Page 9 CLEARSPAN ACCESSORIES ™ 13. In the upper corner grommet of the INNER panel, loosely install a 5/16" x 1" bolt, nut, lock-washer and flat washers. 14. Move to the second interior grommet of the INNER panel, and remove the nut and washer from the door pole bolt.
  • Page 10 CLEARSPAN ACCESSORIES ™ 18. Pulling tight, string cable to the upper corner double pulley and feed through the back pulley. 19. Feed cable down to the front left of the winch assembly (if applicable). ATTENTION: If only one winch kit was purchased, and a there's only a AS5075 pulley on the opposite side of the winch, just feed the cable down over the back of the vertical pulley and back up around.
  • Page 11 CLEARSPAN ACCESSORIES ™ 20. Starting four or five grooves back from the front of the winch and pulling the cable tight to eliminate any slack, wrap the cable a MINIMUM of three times around the cable drum, wrapping towards the front of the winch, and staying in the cable drum grooves.
