1. Remove existing seat and suspension from the tractor. DO NOT cut the wiring harness
apart on the original seat. It will be re-used.
2. Remove the suspension pedestal from the tractor platform. Keep the bolts used to hold the
pedestal down.
3. On the new seat assembly, remove the bottom half of the slide rails and mark the front of
each rail.
4. Attach the bottom slide rails to the top of the suspension using the 8mm x 16mm low profile
flat head socket cap screws and spacers provided. The front of the slide rails should be
close to flush with the front of the suspension. The spacers go in between the slide rails and
the suspension. (See Detail B)
5. Fasten the PED plate 6012 to the OEM suspension pedestal using the 5/16" x 1" flat head
socket cap screws and flange nuts provided. The half moon notch goes to the front. (See
Detail A)
6. Raise the suspension to it's highest setting. For the MSG83 Mechanical Suspension, apply
weight to the suspension and turn the height adjustment knob to 1. For the MSG93 Air Sus-
pension, connect to a power source and air the suspension up.
7. Remove the lower half of the rubber suspension boot to expose the inside of the suspen-
sion.
8. Place the suspension on the 6012 PED plate and fasten with the 5/16" flange nuts provided.
Re-secure the rubber boot to the suspension. (See Detail B)
9. Install the operator presense switch to the bottom of the seat by locating the hole for the
switch, cutting the fabric away, and fastening in place using the self tapping screws provided
with the switch. Make sure the connection prongs are pointed towards the rear of the seat.
10. Connect the wiring harness from the original seat to the operator presence switch.
11. Loosen the bolts holding the top half of the slide rails to the seat.
12. Align the seat and top slide rails with the lower half of the slide rails on the suspension.
Slide the seat and top slide rails from the front of the suspension half way on. Check that
the seat is centered side to side on the suspension. Tighten the front two bolts on the seat
that hold the top slide rails on. Slide the seat all the way back and tighten the rear two bolts
holding the top slide rails on.
13. Lift assembly into place and fasten the original pedestal in place using the original bolts.
14. Connect the operator presence switch to the tractor.
15. If the suspension is air, connect it to a power supply.
