Tools and Equipment needed to assemble
6mm nutsetter
Impact Driver or Drill/Driver
Gloves
Tape measure/square
Assemble the long sides
1.
Take a bottom rail (the one with the drainage holes) and position it with the opening facing upwards. Insert an infill
sheet into the rail. It will be a nice firm fit, so hold the sheet on an angle and work it into the rail (FIG. 1). Wear gloves
to protect your hands (unlike that shown in the photo!)
2.
Aim to have the sheet sit approx. 18mm in from the end of the rail. (FIG. 2) Insert the next sheet following the same
process ensuring an overlap at the join.
3.
Slide the panels back or forth so that the gap at each end is the same.
4.
Take a top rail and, starting at one end of the infill sheet, making sure that you have the same 15mm or so overhang as
the bottom rail, insert it over the top and roll it down into place. (FIG. 3) You will need to locate each rib of the panel
into the rail as you go.
5.
Lay the frame down with the outside face of the infill panels face down (The outside face is the one with the ribs
pointing upwards.) Take two of the POST profiles and slip them over the rails, so that they are sitting hard against them.
(FIG.4)
6.
Make sure that the bottom of the POST is flush with the bottom curved face of the bottom rail. (FIG. 5)
7.
Check that the assembly is square. An easy way to do this is by measuring diagonally from corner to corner (FIG. 6). If
the dimensions are equal, it's square. Adjust as required.
8.
Double check that the bottom of the POST is flush with the bottom curved face of the bottom rail.
9.
Fix the posts in place with 2x 12mm self drilling screws in each corner. Use the grooves on the side of the rails as a
placement guide. (FIG. 7)
10.
Place the angle brackets on the rail and locate them against the edge of the post (FIG. 8). Make sure that the curve in
the corner of the bracket doesn't push the edge of the bracket past the edge of the post.
