3. Lubrication (Except 20G-506CEx) WARNING Turn OFF the power before starting the work so as to prevent accidents caused by unexpected start of the sewing machine. Remove the face plate and the top cpver. Apply sufficient oil to all oil felt and indicate with oiling points.
4. Inserting the needle Use the SINGR Cat.No.1955-01 needle system (DPx5) only. Raise needle bar to its highest position by turning handwheel toward you. Loosen needle set screw 1 . Insert the needle in the needle bar and push it up as far as it will go. Make sure its long groove faces toward the front.
6. Bobbin thread winding Place bobbin on bobbin winder spring 3 and pushing it on as far as it will go. Adjust the pre-tension nut 1 as follows. ‘ ’ direction: Increase tension ‘ ’ direction: Decrease tension Push latch 2 in the direction indicate by arrow A to start the machine.
8. Bobbin thread tension adjustment Turn the tension adjusting screw 1 clockwise (in di- ‘+’ rection of the marker ), the bobbin thread tension will increase. Turn the tensio adjusting screw 1 counterclockwise ‘-’ (in direction of the marker ), the bobbin thread ten- sion will decrease.

18. Needle to rotating hook relation adjustment 18.1 The needle bar height adjustment Remove the face plate. Set the needle position selector on‘center’and stitch width regulator for max zigzag width. 0.5mm Turn the handwheel until the needle is in the lower left positions.

Knee operating presser foot lift a) Bell clamks 1 is fastened to the underside of the bed, the bell crank 1 is used for lifting and lowering the presser foot by knee. b) To raise or lower the presser foot by the knee, loosen screw 4 holding the knee lifter shaft arm 3 and move the knee lifter sgaft arm 3 just under the bell crank 1 and firmly tighten screw 4.

21. Oil reservoir installation (20G-605CE) Two rubber seats 1 and two rubber corners 2 for supporting the head portion should be fixed on the extended portion of the table by using nails, and the other two rubber cushion 3 on the hinge side should be fixed on grooves by using nails too.

23. Machine head oil amount adjustment (20G-605CE) When adjusting the oil amount of the machine head, take a rubber cap 2. While the groove A of oil adjusting screw 1 is shown the position, the oil amount is maximum. To decrease the oil amount, the adjusting screw 1 will be turn around 90°.
25. Spool cap usage When using a reel type thread pool 2, fit the spool cap 1 onto the tread spool hole 3, which is supplied by the machine accessory. Set the height of thread spool holder 4 so there is appro- ximately 2.0 mm clearance between top end of spool pin 5, and the tip of the slotted spigot of the spool cap 1.
