ARROZEIRA HIDRÁULICA 11. PREPARATION FOR PLANTING 11.1- Stand To support the sower in the soil, it must be in firm and flat location. After that, position the stand in the support mode as indicated in point (A) (fig. 01). To put the seeder in transport or work position, lift the stand up to the last hole (B) (fig. 01) as shown in fig. 02. fig. 01 fig. 02 11.2- Tractor We recommend the use of ballast in sufficient quantity to perform the work of planting with be- tter efficiency. This amount should be related to the weight of the machine and the slope of the terrain. -

ARROZEIRA HIDRÁULICA 11.2.2- Seeder uncoupling - tractor Perform the uncoupling of the seeder from the tractor in a firm and flat location, following the instructions described in topic 11.2.1 in the reverse order. 11.2.3- Seeder leveling Make the transverse and longitudinal leveling of the seeder, as follows: Transverse or Lateral Leveling: Turn the screw (A) (fig. 05), tractor arm (B) until centering is achieved. Longitudinal Leveling: Turn the third point arm (C) (fig. 05) until leveling is achieved according to the in- dicative arrow (“X”). -

ARROZEIRA HIDRÁULICA 11.3- Recommendations before starting the planting operation Read and follow correctly the instructions contained in the operating manual. Before starting the operation, thoroughly clean the seeder, check if all mechanisms are moving freely and retighten all fixed components. In relation to planting furrower lines, make sure that all fusible bolts are in use. Verify if the internal cleaners of the double disc are in perfect condition and properly adjusted. -

ARROZEIRA HIDRÁULICA 12. OPERATIONS 12.1- Set for rice planting The no-till farming system for rice uses unaligned 14 and 15-inch in diameter double discs (A) (fig. 06). The sets are also made by different lines. The deposition mechanism of each line is composed of two flexible conductors, one for fertilizers and one for seeds, both deposited in a single inner conductor (E) (fig. 07) of the double disc, to conduct the fertilizer and seeds. The seeds and fertilizers are housed in the same planting line without causing germination problems. -

ARROZEIRA HIDRÁULICA The adjustment procedure is performed by the displacement of the shaft (A) (fig. 09) by in- creasing or decreasing the working opening of the rotors (B) inside the distributor box, using the knob (C) (fig. 08). After obtaining the desired seed flow, attach the regulator knob through the lock nut (D). Note the position of the indicator (E) (fig. 09) on a millimetric scale (F) for approximate adjust- ment through the indicative tables according to the culture to be established. fig. 08 IMPORTANT Make sure that the shifter su- pport is not forced by the set of rotors so the opening adjustment is not altered. -

ARROZEIRA HIDRÁULICA 12.3- Small seeds distribution system – optional The distribution of small seed is performed by a ribbed (A) (fig. 11), mounted on a seed feeder set for small seed (E), which is triggered by a square shaft (B), with the possibility of sliding on this axis, leading to a greater or lesser amount of seeds to be distributed. The adjustment procedure is performed by the displacement of axis (B) (fig. 11), by increasing or decreasing the working opening of the rotors inside the dispenser assembly (E), using the knob (C). -
