3. P acing the fan housing 6. Installing the duct P ace the fan housing next to a ceiling joist or wall stud. The fan housing Install a circu ar 4 in. duct (not included) and secure it with duct tape or should be level and perpendicu ar to the joist or stud (1). -

SECTION F 3. En arging the opening (optional) Installation - Existing Construction If this fan is not rep acing an old fan, be sure to cut a 7.6" × 7.3" opening for the fan body (A). ENSURE THE 7.3-INCH SIDE OF THE OPENING IS FLUSH WITH THE JOIST FOR INSTALLATION FROM BELOW. - Page 8 6. Removing the wiring box housing 9.
