General information

The BAline product line is a system consisting of individual
modules for room and building automation (such as sun
shading systems, lighting, windows, HVAC, etc.).
The BAline MIO sensor adapter converts signals of passive
sensors into standard analogue signals (0 - 10V).
With the help of the BAline MIO sensor adapter, there is
no need for external wiring of the inputs on the BAline MIO
modules.
Intended use
The BAline MIO sensor adapter is a device for controlling
sun shading products. The approval of the manufacturer
must be obtained for any use of the device other than its
intended purpose specified in these instructions.

Safety instructions
WARNING
The electrical installation (assembly)/
dismantling must be performed by a cer-
tified electrician in accordance with VDE
0100 and/or with the standards and legal
requirements of the country in which the
device is being installed. The electrician
must observe the installation notes and
instructions included with the electrical
devices supplied.
If hazard-free operation cannot be as-
sumed, the device may not be started or
must be deactivated. This assumption is
justified if:
 t he housing or the connecting lines show
signs of damage,
 the device is no longer working.
W ARNING
For the safe functioning of the entire sys-
tem it is necessary that the drives, motor
control units and power supply units are
accurately coordinated with one another.
Therefore, please contact our Project Sup-
port before planning.
W ARNING
The control software loaded at the factory
cannot be used for operation in a system.
The control software loaded at the factory
must be replaced by system-specific con-
trol software.
Installation
The module is designed for distributor installation (DIN
rail-mounted housing).
When installing the device in a distributor, clip it
onto a symmetrical DIN rail (TH 35 according to
EN 60715: 2001).
