    3 Notes for Maintenance 1)The firefighting pump should be cleaned up, and any oil, fuel, and water in the casing should be wiped up before disassembling. 2) Do not disassemble the firefighting pump except when necessary because it is precision built. 3)Store defective parts for a while to show them to the customer when requested.

    4 Disassembling 1.Disassembling the exterior 【1】 Dismounting the battery 1) Take off the battery fixing belt ①. 2) Disconnect the battery cable (black) from the negative electrode of the battery and then disconnect the battery cable (red) from the positive electrode.
  • Page 9 【4】 Dismounting the panel ASSY 1) Disconnect the connector(s) between the panel and the main body. 2) Disconnect the tube connected to the gauge. ① Caution Be careful not to break the tube. ② 3) Remove the governor spring from the throttle lever.
  • Page 10 【6】 Dismounting the vacuum pump ASSY. 1) Unfasten the bolt ① fixing the tension pulley, move the belt guide ②, and remove the V-belt from the tension pulley. 2) Remove the V-belt from the pulley ③ of the vacuum pump. 3) Remove the spring built into the tension pulley.
  • Page 11 【9】 Dismounting the bed ASSY 1) Unfasten and remove the 2 nuts ① (M8) on the engine side and the 2 nuts ② (M8) on the pump side. Caution When dismounting the bed, use a lifting device or have 2 people lift the pump if doing it manually.

    5 Assembling and Maintenance Assembling should be done in the reverse order of the disassembling. Pay attention to the * following points. 【1】 Building the crank case Wipe the dust off the pairing surfaces of the crank case and spread liquid packing (ThreeBond 1215) on both surfaces.
