    Keep the packaging safely to use again should you need to transport your speakers to another location. At least four people are required to unpack your Reference Ultime Two loudspeakers. Do not attempt this job on your own as you risk damaging them.

    Gently lower the speaker, ensuring that there are at least 4 people to do this. While 3 people keep the speaker tilted, a 4th person should place the 2 Stenheim Metal Discs under the spikes, so that the speaker can be gently placed on them. Use of the Metal Discs is not obligatory.

    This is due to their compatibility with the type of speaker cable you are using. As a rule of thumb, Stenheim recommends connecting the speaker cables to the right set of binding posts. There may be instances where personal preference in sound rendition leads you to connect to the bass (left) set of connectors instead.

    Your speakers should already be performing well, but they will get even better as they break-in. 200 to 300 hours of break-in are recommended for the Reference Ultime Two. After this time, your Reference speakers will have reached their full performance and will not change for many years to come.

    4.6 Maintenance Your Reference Ultime Two speakers will not require maintenance in normal usage. There is no serviceable part inside. Any attempt to open the speaker by non-authorized personnel will void the warranty. Use only a soft and dry cloth to remove any dust or marks as necessary. Avoid using abrasive or harsh cleaners as they may damage the aluminium finish.
