5 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 5. Safety instructions • Caution, hot vapour! • Keep a safe distance of at least 1.50 m from the mist outlet for people and heat- sensitive objects. • It is strictly forbidden to handle the mist outlet during operation! A minimum di- stance of 60 cm must be maintained with flammable materials.
7 COMMISSIONING Figure 2: RTF-400 Battery Back 7. Commissioning • Connect a fluid canister with appropriate fog fluid to the machine at [8]. • If desired, connect cables for external control at [13]. • Insert the speakON plug [6] into the speakON socket [12] (connect battery pack to the device).
8 OPERATING THE RTF-400 BATTERY WITH EXTERNAL CONTROL • Non-flammable surface. • Ventilation with fresh and fog-free air. • Ambient temperature between 5°C and 45°C. • Relative humidity below 80%. ATTENTION! In cases of integrating the RTF-400 Battery into props or similar, ensure a fog-free air supply.
8 OPERATING THE RTF-400 BATTERY WITH EXTERNAL CONTROL 8.1. Operation via Analog Input Connect the RTF-400 Battery to an analog console or the optional cable remote via the 3-pin XLR socket [13]. • Insert the connection cable of the console/cable remote into the XLR socket [13] on the device.
10 BATTERY PACK 9. Shutting Down • The device will continue to run for 15 seconds after releasing the trigger button. • The RTF-400 Battery automatically switches to sleep mode approximately 40 sec- onds after the last fogging process (power consumption only 1.5 mA). Note The RTF-400 Battery should never be stored or transported with the battery con- nected.
10 BATTERY PACK The RTF-400 Battery automatically switches to sleep mode about 40 seconds after the last fogging process (power consumption only 1.5 mA). 10.3. Charging the Battery Pack The RTF-400 Battery comes with a charger. Use only this charger to charge the battery pack.
