AXiS MODULAR 2XATT Manual and Build Guide...
Page 2
Hello fellow DIYer! Thank you for purchasing the 2XATT DIY kit. This module is part of my 2X range of DIY Eurorack modules and once built, allows you to attenuate two separate audio input/output levels in a relatively small 0HP package. It has an added feature of a 6.3mm jack socket so that you can convert ¼...

BUILD PROCESS Please read and follow this guide carefully. To make everything fit on one PCB, components go on both sides of the board and it will make the build difficult if an error is made. Important note: Fit the big ¼ inch mono sockets last. Firstly place the 3.5mm mono sockets onto the PCB as shown.
Page 5
Now place the panel, fix the nuts onto the panel and flip over the whole assembly keeping everything in place and solder one leg of each socket. I normally solder the exposed ground leg first, this allows you to easily reflow the solder and move the part if you need to adjust the position slightly.
Page 6
Next, remove the panel and place the two 100k potentiometers onto the PCB as shown and re-attach the panel as before.
Page 7
Now before you solder flip the board over and cut 2 side legs on each of the potentiometers as flush as you can to the solder pads using your side cutters. Now solder one of the three pins on each potentiometer, check its still ok and then once happy then solder the rest.

Now remove the panel as before and place the ¼ inch mono jack sockets as shown below. Matching it up with the silkscreen image. Flip the board over and carefully solder one leg of the big mono sockets.
Page 9
Make Sure each of the sockets sit almost flush against the board as shown before soldering all pins. Now solder the rest of the socket pins in place. Trim and reflow solder if desired. Replace the panel and replace/tighten all the nuts and you should now have a very useful external 0HP utility for your Eurorack or external gear.

OPERATION GUIDE Use is quite simple, plug a 3.5mm cable into the input jack and a 3.5mm to the output and you can attenuate/change the level of signal via the potentiometer on each of the sections. Instead of using the 3.5mm input socket you can use a guitar/synthesizer ¼ inch cable to adapt to the 3.5mm size of Eurorack cables at the output.
Page 13
Take your output from your Eurorack system, plug it into one of the Outputs on the 2XATT and then take(what will be the output) from either the 3.5mm or the ¼ inch sockets and you can attenuate you signals from Eurorack to your outboard gear!! Note: Remember you cannot output from the ¼...
