User Manual.
General notes and precautions.
•
Please make sure that during the installation
process, DEM.249 should not be supplied with
electric power!
•
DEM.249 is a Class I device and thus, it is
mandatory to be connected to a protective ground.
•
Designed for indoor use.
•
Do not try to fix any damage or malfunction, by opening
the DEM.249. The materials and parts used in the
DEM.249 cannot be replaced. This must be done by an
experienced technician of your supplier.
•
When DEM.249 is
cases/boards, its range might be reduced.
•
Make sure that the power supply must be secured with
an external MCB.
•
Disconnect the power supply for any service.
Connecting power sypply and load.
DEM.249 must be disconnected from the mains before
connecting or replacing any type of load.
DEM.249 can support up to 12 DALI drivers on its
output.
Do not connect any DALI Power Supply together with
DEM.249.
Dimming Profiles.
DEM.249 offers many dimming profiles such as Single
channel, 4 channel, TW e.t.c. The user can easily select the
appropriate profile according to the led drivers that will be
connected to its output.

DEM.249 is a single channel Casambi to DALI gateway.
The device is power supplied with 100-240VAC / 50Hz-
60Hz and can control up to 12 DALI drivers.
DEM.249 can be controlled through Casambi's mobile
application. It uses CASAMBI's Bluetooth module and
thus, it can be easily integrated into existing Casambi
networks.
The device has been designed for indoor use. It offers an
IP40 protection against water & dust and with its case it
can be easily fastened almost on any surface.
Bluetooth pairing.
DEM.249 can be paired and controlled from your Bluetooth
device through Casambi app, which is available in "Play
Store" and "Apple Store" for free. Once you have
downloaded the Casambi app, you need to:

Enable the Bluetooth connections at your device.
•
Open the application and go to "My networks".
•
Select the option "Create a new network".
•
Type a name for your network and any other
preference that is required and press "Save".
You have successfully created your own network!
•
Select "Show nearby devices" to add DEM.249 to
your network. DEM.249 should be power supplied,
in order for it to be visible at your Bluetooth device.
•
Select "DEM.249" from the available devices for
completing the Bluetooth pairing between your
device and DEM.249.
The device is finally ready for use. You can now control
DEM.249 from your Bluetooth device!
•
With a single "tap" on the device you can either
switch the output "on" or "off".
Casambi app offers a lot of options such as creating Scenes,
Selecting new name for the device, Dimming range etc.
The scene editing can be adjusted from this page under the
section "Scenes", while the other settings can be accessed
by double "tapping" on the device.
Note that you can add up to 250 DEM.249 devices into a
single evolution network (127 with Classic networks) or
less if you are already using some other Casambi
devices in the same network.
