    CL-20 Cloud connectivity device The CL-20 Cloud Connectivity Device adds cloud-based services and NTRIP corrections including Topcon Agriculture Platform (TAP) and TopNET Live. SATEL-TR The SATEL-TR is an external radio modem that receives RTK correction data from an RTK base with a radio transmitter.

    The mounting bracket kits are available from NOTE NOTE your Topcon dealer. 1. Clean the installation area with a solvent such as methylated spirits. 2. Find the centerline of the tractor roof. Measure the center point of the roof at the front and at the back.

  • Page 16: Electric Steering Wheel

    XW-1 Electric steering wheel A spline adapter and an anti-rotation bracket are necessary to install the XW-1 electric steering wheel. They are specific to the tractor make/model. A generic kit (1068618-01) is included. Refer to the Value Line Steering Solution Supported Platforms (OD1039 REV A) to find the correct adapters for the installation.
  • Page 17 If the generic kit does not contain the appropriate spline adapter or anti-rotation brackets, try each spline adapter or anti-rotation bracket in the kit to see if it fits the tractor. If no spline adapter or anti-rotation bracket fits the tractor, contact your Topcon dealer for alternatives.
  • Page 18: Xw-1 Electric Steering Wheel Installation

    XW-1 electric steering wheel installation 1. Remove the tractor steering wheel. Remove the nut below the center cover. Refer to the tractor manufacturer’s manual for more information. 2. Pull the steering wheel off the steering spline. Force may be required to remove the steering wheel.
  • Page 19 5. Attach the anti-rotation bracket to the bottom of the wheel. Use the Value Line Steering Solution Supported Platforms (OD1039 REV A) to select the correct anti-rotation bracket for the tractor. 6. Secure the anti-rotation bracket to the rear of the wheel using the 4x M5 countersunk screws supplied in the kit.

    XC1/XC1 plus console Install the XC1/XC1 plus console using the RAM mounting kit. The RAM mounting kit includes: • RAM mount base plate • RAM 4.66-inch double socket bar • RAM U-bolt bracket • M5X14 screws 1. Find an area on a bar or tube in the cab that is within easy reach of the operator and does not obstruct the view from the cab.

    Value Line harness The Value Line all-in-one harness connects the XR-1 GPS receiver, the XW-1 electric steering wheel, and the XC1 or XC1 plus console. The harness connects to the battery to supply power to the components. The harness has a power switch to turn the system on or off. The battery must support 25 A to power the XW-1 electric steering wheel.

    Optional Parts CL-20 The CL-20 is installed in the cab using a bracket or double-sided adhesive. 1. Identify an installation location in the cab. 2. Secure the CL-20 with the double-sided adhesive or the bracket. 3. Use the harness supplied in the kit to connect the CL-20 to the XC1. The XC1 supplies power directly to the CL-20.

    The SATEL-TR is installed on the cab roof. Many swell-latch style receiver brackets can be used to mount the SATEL-TR next to the XR-1. Contact your Topcon dealer for more information. Use the 1073361-01 harness to connect to the XR-1 GPS receiver and the Value Line All-in-one harness.

    The ISO-VT adapter harness connects the Value Line system to the ISOBUS vehicle harnesses. These vehicle harnesses allow an ISOBUS implement to be connected to the tractor and for the ISOBUS UI to be shown on the XC1 or XC1 plus console. Contact your Topcon dealer for more information.

    Configuration Vehicle measurements Vehicle and implement profiles are necessary to use the system. Each profile requires the physical dimensions of the machine to be accurately measured and entered. The recommended tolerance is ±5 cm. Measure and record the dimensions before starting system setup. 1.

    Steering controller setup 1. Select Vehicle > Steering 2. Select WHEEL ANGLE SENSOR. These alternatives are available: Disabled Steering does not use wheel angle sensor information Enabled Steering uses a wheel angle sensor fitted to the steering axle Virtual Steering uses a virtual wheel angle sensor solution incorporated in the XW-1 electric steering wheel.

    Calibration Steering calibration The console uses satellite information to find the location of the vehicle and control the steering system. The system must be calibrated for the vehicle. 1. Drive the vehicle to a large level area away from personnel and obstacles. The vehicle must be able to drive in complete circles.

    Do a mounting bias calibration every 6-12 months at a minimum or if any of the items above change. Topcon recommends a mounting bias calibration is done even if the screen shows it is not necessary. 1. Move the vehicle to a clear area with sufficient space to drive at least 70m (230 ft) and turn at each end.
