    • This manual includes introduction of Development Kit and guidelines of wiring connection of VFD-CB (control board) to implement the operation of BLDC motors. The manual also illustrates design and generation of the firmware for VFD-CB, and programming procedure to MCU of VFD-CB in Appendix, to acquire on/off, speed, and direction controls of BLDC motors.

    3.2 Connection Explanation • Hall-sensing BLDC motors equipped with two sets wiring: power wires phase U, V, W connect to U, V, W terminals of VFD power supply accordingly. hall wires Hu, Hv, HW, VCC, GND connect to Control Pin (CN22) accordingly.

    A.4 VFD-CB Programming A.4.1 MCEWizard Configuration Step 1: Download MCEWizard Configuration File • File available at Infineon Technologies: https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/pow er/motor-control-ics/imotion- integrated/?tab=~%27development_tools# Design Support Development • Click on , find Tools and download Configuration File. Step 2: Unzip Configuration File and search for folder EVAL-M1-IM231.
  • Page 13 Step 5: Enter BLDC motor model name. • Can be found on motor label and specification. Step 6: Enter BLDC motor Rated Current. • Can be found on motors label and specification. Step 7: Enter the number of magnetic poles of the BLDC motor.

Two custom script functions (tasks) can be defined using C like language. Tasks can be created to read analog (ADC) pins, read/write digital (GPIO) pins and MCE parameter registers.
