Exceeding these capacities could lead to damage, injury, or possible death.
BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO USE THIS PRODUCT, BE SURE TO READ AND COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND
ALL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS, ALL WARNINGS, AND ILLUSTRATIONS.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH PRODUCT WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS OR IMPROPER USE CAN
LEAD TO DAMAGE, INJURY, OR POSSIBLE DEATH.
DO NOT use this product if the coil wire diameter of the spring exceeds 5/8" (15 mm).
DO NOT use this product if the coil wire of the spring does not fully seat into the spring hook. (For an example
of proper seating, reference step 6 of Instructions for Use on page 5.)
DO NOT use this product if the strut/spring exceeds any noted limitations or capacities.
DO NOT allow anyone, user or bystanders, in front of this tool while compressing the spring.
DO NOT use this product if the strut/spring is beyond this product's light-duty application range.
DO NOT use this tool if there are any signs of damage and or wear, premature or otherwise.
DO NOT use the bearing plate to compress the spring.
DO NOT use this tool beyond its intended purpose, including using as any other type of press.
ALWAYS inspect the tool prior to each use, checking for damaged and or worn components.
ALWAYS replace any missing and or damages components; repair or replace immediately/before use.
ALWAYS inspect the spring and strut for wear, damage, debris, and or corrosion. These factors could cause
as slippage and or component failure.
ALWAYS ensure lower jaws are firmly secured before attempting to compress the spring.
ALWAYS keep hands, fingers, any loose clothing and jewelry clear of the tool during operation.
ALWAYS ensure upper sliding hooks are centered and firmly secured with the spring keepers tightened before
attempting to compress the spring. Make sure the slide hooks are not over extended.
STOP IMMEDIATELY if you think you have not achieved a safe set up prior to compressing the strut/spring.
STOP IMMEDIATELY if you notice any of the following: difficulty or sudden change in resistance while
compressing the spring, spring shifting or slipping from cradle points, bowing of the coil spring or popping
noises. If any of these occur, relieve any pressure on the spring and reposition before attempting again.
STOP IMMEDIATELY if you think you are exceeding this product's limitations.
ALWAYS wear ANSI Z87.1 eye protection and OSHA approved protective gear during tool operation.
