    ASSEMBLY Assembly Preparation ■ Carefully remove all contents from the product packaging. ■ Ensure you have all the accessories and tool(s) needed for assembly and operation. This also includes suitable personal protective equipment. WARNING If any parts are damaged or missing do not operate this product until the parts are replaced. Failure to pay attention to this warning could result in serious personal injury.

    OPERATION NOTE: Please observe local regulations concerning noise protection. Setting the Working Position (See Fig. 5) The machine has 4 principal position settings: Transport position 0 setting This position sets the maximum height for transportation between the tool and the floor. Working position 1 setting Set this position when working with a new machine.

    OPERATION Changing the Cylinder (See Fig. 7) The machine has two easily exchangeable cylinders: a rake cylinder made of hard plastic with vertically rotating sprung tines, and a scarifier cylinder with vertically mounted high-grade steel knives. WARNING Switch off the machine, disconnect the mains plug and wait until the cylinder is standing still. Wear gloves when handling the cylinder.
  • Page 22 OPERATION ■ Mow the lawn to between 20 – 30mm. ■ Do not use the scarifier in long grass. It may wind around the scarifier blade and result in damage to the equipment. ■ Select the appropriate working or readjustment position (in the event of cylinder wear) so that the machine is not overloaded.

    MAINTENANCE WARNING If a part becomes worn or damaged, use recommended manufacturers replacement parts. Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. WARNING Always switch the product off, disconnect the plug from the power socket and wait until the cylinder is standing still before performing inspection, maintenance and cleaning work! WARNING Wear gloves when handling the cylinder.
