Do I need special dartboard or special darts set to use it?
No, you can use your regular dartboard and darts set with Scolia. Scolia is compatible with the products of all the major dartboard manufacturers. Note that the image processing algorithm expects the dartboard to have standard dimensions, traditional colouring and to be equipped with the traditional metal number ring. It is recommended to avoid using dark-coloured barrels, shafts and flights for better accuracy.
Yes, the Scolia processing unit requires wired internet connection to operate. If taking a LAN cable to your dartboard is problematic, we highly recommend using a powerline adapter. Using these adapters, you can easily provide highspeed wired internet connection to your Scolia system without drilling through the walls or the ceiling.
Scolia Home is designed for the Scolia Spark light surround. The system is also compatible with the Bull's Termote 2.0 light surround. Other light surrounds (such as the Target Corona or the Winmau Plasma) are not supported, but based on user feedback, the system performs well with them in most cases.

TIPS FOR HIGHER ACCURACY
NOTE
We highly recommend executing this step to provide enhanced stability for your system.
INSTALLATION ON THE BULL'S TERMOTE LIGHT SURROUND
If you would like to mount the Scolia Home system on your Termote light surround, you should follow the same steps as above. You can use the cover plate to provide protection for the processing unit.
Register your board at game.scoliadarts.com.
Once you have registered your board, turn on the processing unit and the LED light. Use the streaming button on the My Boards page to see your realtime camera images.
Align the cameras in such a way that the dartboard images are as close to the green ellipses as possible.
Once the cameras are in their appropriate positions, tighten the screws at the hinge joint, so that they remain fixed.
Press the calibrate link and wait until the system calibrates itself. Once the system is calibrated, you can start playing!
What should I do?
Check the LAN cable and make sure it is properly connected to the processing unit and your network device.
What should I do?
Check the USB cables of the cameras, and make sure they are properly connected to the processing unit. Restart the system by turning it off and on again after a few seconds.
What should I do?
The environment of the dartboard must be clear on start-up. The automatic calibration process fails to execute if one or more objects partially or fully cover the segments of the dartboard. Once you remove every object that can potentially block the view of the cameras, restart the system. The owner of the Scolia system can monitor the camera images on the My Boards page of the web application.
What should I do?
Try to recalibrate your system by pressing the Calibrate link on the My Boards page or turn your device off and on again after a few seconds. Make sure the environment of the dartboard is clear during the calibration process and that the dartboard images are as close to the green ellipses as possible.
