This document is intended to guide technicians when completing disassembly and reassembly
Introduction
of Galaxy A23 (SM-A236U) devices.
To complete disassembly of Galaxy A23 devices, the following tools and equipment are necessary:

AOD Blue Seal

Action
1. Configure the AOD:

Replace the orange center seal with the blue seal

Set the temperature to 70°C (Upper) and 60°C (Lower)
2. Place the device face down and align the center seal over the center of the device
3. Heat the device for 5 minutes and remove the Back Cover
4. Remove the rework tape from the Rear Cover
5. Remove the Camera Deco from the Rear Assembly
6. Remove the 14 screws holding on the Rear Assembly
7. Remove the SIM Card Tray
8. Using the Disassembly Stick gently work around the Rear Assembly to loosen it from
the OCTA
9. Disconnect the Button Ribbon Cable from the Main PBA and remove the Rear
Assembly
10. Disconnect the Battery Connecter followed by the UB FPCB and Coaxial Cables on the
Main PBA
11. Remove the one (1) Main PBA Screw
12. Remove the one (1) Sub PBA Screw and disconnect the Sub FPCB and Coaxial Cables
13. Remove the Main PBA
14. Remove the Sub PBA
