    Safety Safety This chapter includes all the information you should know in order to safely install and operate the product. 2.1. Hazards The solid state relay has been constructed with the newest technology and recognized safety- relevant regulations. Danger for persons and/or property may arise in case of improper use. Lack of compliance with the rules for work safety may result in damages.

    Product Description Product Description The solid state relays by MRS Electronic are electronic circuits made of semiconductor components and other electronic components. Semiconductor relays have no moving parts and are therefore wear-free. They are the electronic alternative to classic mechanical relays.

    The product must be packed in suitable transport packaging and secured against sliding around. During transport, the statutory provisions regarding securing loads must be observed. If the solid state relay falls down, it may no longer be used and must be returned to MRS to be checked.

    Operation without the safety measures intended and provided by the manufacturer. ◼ MRS only guarantees/is liable for the solid state relay corresponding to the published specifications. If the product is used in a way not described in these operation instructions or in the data sheet of the solid state relay in question, the protection of the solid state relay will be impaired, and the warranty claim is void.

    Fault Removal and Maintenance Fault Removal and Maintenance INFORMATION The solid state relay is maintenance-free and may not be opened.  If the solid state relay exhibits any damages on the casing, locking catch, seals or flat plugs, it must be shut down. Fault removal and cleaning work may only be performed by qualified staff (see Chapter 2.2 Staff Qualifications).

The solid state relay may be damaged when cleaning it with high-pressure cleaners, steam jets, aggressive solvents or scouring agents.  Do not clean the solid state relay with high-pressure cleaners or steam jets. Do not use any aggressive solvents or scouring agents.
