Additional wire used during the installation must have a temperature rating of 158° F (70° C) or above, and be at least 24 AWG. 4B recommends using shielded cable to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) to maintain signal integrity. TESTING AND MAINTENANCE Below is the procedure that the end user must adhere to in order to maintain the system in a safe state. Inspect that all the cabling is in good state and that all the electrical connections, including the terminal blocks in the junction boxes are secure and in good order.
