    Installation Location Choose a location that is in compliance with current work place safety regulations. The working area should provide the operator with enough space to install a four post lift or scissor lift and has easy access to drive a car onto it. The place selected should be well lit, easy to clean and should be away from oil, grease, water, etc.

    Adjusting Crossbeam Position After column is standing up vertically, disassemble the fixed counterweight screw. Use an M8 Allen Wrench to disassemble the counterweight screw.     SOFTWARE UPDATES AND REVISIONS - DISABLE WINDOWS UPDATE 1. Go to the Start Menu and click Control Panel. 2. Click on System and Security. 3. Under Windows Update, select “Turn automatic updating on or off”.
  • Page 30 4. From the dropdown menu, select “Never Check for Updates”. 5. In the same window, uncheck these items: a.) “Give me recommended updates” b.) “Allow all users to install updates” and click OK.
  • Page 31 ACTIVATING INTERNET 1. In the bottom right-hand corner of the task bar, left click the network icon (monitor with plug). 2. Click Open Network and Sharing Center. 3. Select Local Area Connection.
  • Page 32 4. Select Properties. 5. Click text of Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), it will highlight, but DO NOT uncheck it. Next, click on Properties.

  • Page 34 INSTALLING UPDATE FROM USB 1. a) Insert USB drive into Aligner Computer. b) Open the Start Menu, click on Computer. 2. Open the Removable USB Drive that includes the update.
  • Page 35 3. Double-click the installer file to open it. The file name should be BPK11.0.0.23 or similar. 4. The installer will now make sure that Microsoft Visual C++ Plugin for Windows is installed. Click the Install button.
  • Page 36 5. Select “Repair Microsoft Visual C++ 2010” and click Next. 6. When you see “Repair is Complete”, click Finish.
  • Page 37 7. The set up will install the 64 bit version of Microsoft Visual C++2010. If you get an error like the one shown below, do not worry. The 32-bit version has already been installed. Click “Close” to continue. 8. The installer will automatically begin the next installation.
  • Page 38 9. Click “Next” to install the Aligner Update. 10. Type in your Company Name and click Next.
  • Page 39 11. Select “Complete” then click “Next”. 12. Click “Install”.
  • Page 40 13. When the setup is complete, click “Finish”. Now that the software is updated, there is a configuration file that needs to be copied. 14. Open the Start menu again and click on Computer.
  • Page 41 15. Open the Removable USB Drive that includes the update again. 16. Right click the file named rcp.bin and left-click on Copy.
  • Page 42 17. Go to the top bar and click on Computer. 18. Double-click Local Disk (C:) to open it.
  • Page 43 19. Right-click the folder named 3D Master Aligner and right-click Paste 20. After the installer is complete: a) Go to the desktop and find the old shortcut called 3DAligner.exe b) Right-click the icon and select Delete. The software update process from the USB is now complete. You may close all open windows and launch the Aligner Program from the shortcut called “3D Master Aligner”.

Please see aligner guide titled “Disabling Windows Update” for assistance. II.) The aligner is configured from the factory with the Ethernet disabled.     POWER SUPPLY TROUBLESHOOTING Outer Power Supply Troubleshooting 1. SYMPTOM: Computer does not turn on, indicator on the camera beam isn’t bright. POSSIBLE CAUSE: Outer power socket is not secure, or does not have power connection. Power button on the cabinet is either turned off or is not receiving power.

    CABLE CONNECTION TROUBLESHOOTING Camera Connection Troubleshooting SYMPTOM: Messages will appear on the screen if there is a problem with camera connection. POSSIBLE CAUSE: HUB communication board and camera connection are loose or camera may be broken. CHECK: If the camera USB connection of HUB communication board is loose.
  • Page 52 CABLE CONNECTION TROUBLESHOOTING HUB Communication Board Connection Troubleshooting SYMPTOM: A message on your screen indicates the communication board within the PC is not connecting. Or if the message appears during vehicle measurement. REASON: The plug from the USB communication board is not properly connected to the PC. (It may be loose or the board may be broken.) SOLUTION: Pull out and insert again.
