INTENDED USE
The E105 digital box level is intended for quick and
accurate measurement of horizontal or vertical levels and
angles. The product measures relative and absolute angles
based on a reference position.
The product is intended for both indoor and outdoor use in
dry and well-illuminated conditions.
The product is not intended to be used by children
or persons with reduced physical, mental, or sensory
capabilities.
Do not use the product for any other purpose. The use of
the product for operations outside of the intended use could
impair the protection provided by the product and result in
a hazardous situation.
GENERAL SAFETY WARNINGS
WARNING! Read all safety warnings and understand
all instructions. Failure to follow all instructions listed
below may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious
personal injury.
Save these instructions. The operator's manual
contains important safety and operating instructions.
Use appropriate safety measures when using power
tools. Make sure power tools are powered off before
using the product. Wear appropriate safety equipment
while using power tools.
Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at
all times. This enables better control of the product in
unexpected situations.
Ensure adequate safeguards at the work site
(e.g., surveying the site when measuring on roads,
construction sites, etc.).
Maintain tools. If damaged, have the product repaired
before use. Accidents may be caused by poorly
maintained tools.
The product is designed to be powered by 2-AA
batteries properly inserted into the product. Do not
attempt to use the product with any other voltage or
power supply.
Watch out for erroneous measurements if the product
is defective or if it has been dropped, misused, or
modified.
Carry out the periodic test measurements. Particularly
after the product has been subject to abnormal use and
before, during, and after important measurements.
Do not dispose of the product or batteries together
with household waste material. Appliances and
batteries that have reached the end of their life must be
collected separately and returned to an environmentally
compatible recycling facility.
Keep the product out of reach of children.
BATTERY SAFETY WARNINGS
Do not leave batteries within the reach of children.
Never allow children to replace batteries without adult
supervision.
Do not expose batteries or the product to fire, excessive
temperatures, or sources of ignition. These may cause
an explosion.
Do not store batteries in extreme temperatures.
Do not short-circuit the battery terminals. Shorting the
battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
Do not subject batteries to mechanical shock. Do not
dismantle, open, shred, or mutilate batteries. Released
electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the
eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from
the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs,
flush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally
seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may
cause irritations or burns.
Do not use a battery or product that is damaged or
modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit
unpredictable behaviour resulting in fire, explosion, or
risk of injury.
Install batteries according to polarity (+ / -) diagrams.
Do not mix batteries of different manufacture, capacity,
size, or type within the product.
Use products only with the specifically designated batteries.
Use of any other batteries may create a risk of injury and
fire.
Use batteries only in the application for which they are
intended.
Keep batteries clean and dry. Wipe the battery terminals
with a clean, dry cloth if they become dirty. Do not allow
batteries to come into contact with water.
Remove batteries from the product if the product is not
used for an extended period.
Always remove spent batteries from the product.
Dispose of dropped or damaged batteries. Check with your
local authority or retailer for recycling advice and collection
point.
