The SNM-35 Routing Switcher Manager is a network accessible SNMP gateway used to control and monitor as many as three PESA routing switchers. The SNM-35 provides SNMP source to destination control, lock control, and current input and lock status for each output. It is available in two configurations: one with an optional four section, 2 X 1 high frequency relay switching unit and one without.

2.8 Cabling Considerable weight will be added to the rear panel of the SNM-35 RS Manager by the control, signal, and power cables. Therefore, all cables should be strain-relieved and secured to racks or other supporting structures. Failure to provide adequate cable support can result in cables separating from connectors.

Master override control of the SNM-35 relay switcher is available from the front panel of the SNM-35. Regardless of the current state of the switcher, an operator is able to toggle the current input from the front panel of the SNM-35. The front panel operator must select the switcher status display, then hold the LEFT pushbutton for three seconds for the switch to occur.

“5” represents the switch number (5-8). The default input “A” is normally selected and is also automatically selected whenever system power is not present. Input selection (select A or select B) is controlled by the SNM-35 to which it is connected. A connection cable is provided.

The following paragraphs discuss Front Panel operation. 3.1.1 Keypad The SNM-35 has a four-button keypad that is used to display status information and enter password-protected TCP/IP addresses. If you hold down a key for more than one second, it begins to repeat.
Page 20
TRAP: 192.168.93.5 Pressing the down key once displays the IP address on the bottom of the display. If the address has been changed but the SNM-35 has not been rebooted, this will show the new, not yet active address. 255.255.255.255 Pressing the down key again displays the serial number and firmware version on the bottom line of the display.
