  • Page 3 About this manual This manual describes installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of the Fiplex by Honeywell Battery Backup Unit (BBU). The first part of the manual describes the BBU hardware, and the second part describes the software. Hardware and software mentioned in this manual are subjected to continuous development and improvement.

  • Page 12 Installation Fiplex by Honeywell BBU series is designed for indoor/outdoor usage with a weatherproof outdoor NEMA 4 cabinet that can be mounted without any kind of shelter from rain, snow or hail. To improve reliability, it is recommended to mount the BBU on a site with shelter from direct exposure to sun, rain, snow and hailing.

  • Page 31 Ventilation Kit The ventilation kit consists of components that allow air to flow and maintain the temperature inside the cabinet. This system must not be blocked, and the seals cannot be changed or uninstalled for other purposes.
