ASL 555 Instructions
The ASL 555 is a Bluetooth transmitter that can be pared wirelessly to two (2) ASL receivers and or a mono cable connection to any device
that has a mono plug.
This device has two (2) Bluetooth boards that can connect to two different accessories and two (2) sets of mono plugs that can connect
directly to a device.
It can be used through the wheelchairs electronics output module to give you a wireless BT connection to an ASL accessory like the 557-4
or 558.
You do not need an ATOM Drive Control to make this connection, the ASL 555 will take their place.
The top transmitter board receives the signal from the wheelchairs output module through the 9-pin connector. Pin 1 – 4 activation is
indicated when the green lights light up. The top mono ports will use the pins 5-8, activation is indicated when the red lights are lit up.
TX1 (Transmitter board 1) - The red arrows point to the direction that the movement will occur. The green numbers indicate the other pins
5, 6, 7, 8 and are associated with the mono jack plugs. 5 and 6 can be used for left and right mouse click when pairing with the ASL 558
Mouse emulator.
TX2 (Transmitter Board 2) is the same as TX1, but on the second Bluetooth board.
D9 Input is a cable to connect to an output module.
TX1 BT Pair - The Green light will be illuminated when the BT1 is pared to an accessory. The pair button to be pushed to put into pair mode
to connect to an accessory. TX2 BT Pair does the same function for the BT2 board.
The ASL 555 requires power for activation of the Bluetooth boards. The Mini USB to USB connector is included.

ASL 555 Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter
The ASL 555 is a Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter designed to give wired or wireless access to a
patient through a wheelchairs output module. This device will allow up to two wireless connections
to an ASL accessory, like ASL 557-4 Bluetooth switch interface or the ASL 558 Mouse Emulator.
Each Bluetooth board will give you up to eight (8) outputs. Four (4) of the outputs are wireless
and four (4) are wired for each transmitter. They can be used in any combination of wired and
wireless access.
When using a LiNX Output Module the ASL 555 will allow you to use 2 separate Bluetooth
outputs, ASL 558, ASL 557-4s, and IOS connections or any combination of two of them.
using a RNet or Curtis Output Module you can use one Bluetooth connection to the ASL 558,
557-4 or IOS connection.
