Vielen Dank für das Vertrauen in ein Medizinprodukt der BORT GmbH.
Bitte lesen Sie die vorliegende Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig durch. Bei
Fragen wenden Sie sich an Ihren Arzt oder Fachhandel, von dem Sie dieses
Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
Zweckbestimmung
Bei diesem Medizinprodukt handelt es sich um eine Handgelenkorthese mit
Daumenfixierung zur Immobilisierung.
Indikationen
Tendovaginitis stenosans de Quervain, präoperativ, posttraumatisch,
postoperativ, z. B. nach Bandrekonstruktion am Daumen, Ruhigstellung bei
rheumatischentzündlichen Prozessen, bei degenerativen Erkrankungen, z. B.
Rhizarthrose, CTS
Kontraindikationen
Durchblutungsstörungen verschiedenster Genese, Lymphabflussstörungen
auch unklare Weichteilschwellungen körperfern des angelegten Hilfsmittels,
Empfindungsstörungen der versorgten Körperregion, Erkrankungen der Haut
im versorgten Körper-abschnitt.
Anwendungsrisiken / Wichtige Hinweise
Dieses Medizinprodukt ist ein verordnungsfähiges Produkt. Sprechen Sie
Anwendung und Dauer mit Ihrem verordnenden Arzt ab. Die Auswahl der
geeigneten Größe und eine Einweisung erfolgt durch das Fachpersonal, von
dem Sie das Medizinprodukt erhalten haben.
– Medizinprodukt vor radiologischen Untersuchungen ablegen
– bei längeren Ruhephasen nicht zu fest verschließen z. B. beim Schlafen
– bei Taubheitsgefühl Medizinprodukt lockern oder ggf. abnehmen
– bei anhaltenden Beschwerden den Arzt oder Fachhandel aufsuchen
– Medizinprodukt indikationsgerecht einsetzen
– gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Produkte nur nach Rücksprache mit Ihrem Arzt
– keine Änderungen am Produkt vornehmen
– nicht auf offenen Wunden tragen
– nicht verwenden bei Unverträglichkeiten gegen eines der verwendeten
Materialien
– kein Wiedereinsatz – dieses Hilfsmittel ist zur Versorgung von nur einem
Patienten bestimmt
– während der Tragedauer der Orthese: keine lokale Anwendung von Cremes
oder Salben im Bereich des angelegten Hilfsmittels – kann Material
zerstören
Anziehanleitung
Öffnen Sie alle Klettverschlüsse.

Schlüpfen Sie mit Ihrer Hand in die Handorthese und achten Sie darauf,
dass der Daumen durch das Daumenelement geführt wird. Bei Bedarf
kann das Fachpersonal die integrierten Aluminiumschienen am Handrücken,
im Handflächenbereich und am Daumenelement individuell anpassen.
Beginnen Sie damit, das Band (1) um das Handgelenk zu schließen, gefolgt
vom Mittelhandband (2) und dem Band am Unterarm (3). Zuletzt schließen
Sie die beiden Bänder (4) im Daumenbereich. Achten Sie auf einen festen
und angenehmen Sitz.

Falls es therapeutisch erforderlich ist, die Orthese abzurüsten, kann
das aufgesteckte Daumenelement entfernt werden. Dazu lösen Sie die
Klettlaschen am aufgesteckten Daumenelement.

Intended purpose
This medical device is a wrist brace with a thumb fixation for immobilisation.
Indications
Tendovaginitis stenosans de Quervain, pre-operative, post-traumatic, post-
operative, e.g. after thumb ligament reconstruction, immobilisation in case of
rheumatic-inflammatory processes, in case of degenerative diseases such as
rhizarthrosis and carpal tunnel syndrome
Contraindications
Circulatory disorders with various origins, lymph drainage disorders, also
unclear soft tissue swellings distal to the aid positioned, sensory disturbances
of the region of the body treated, skin diseases in the part of the body treated.
Application risks/Important notes
This medical device is a prescribable product. Discuss the use and duration
with your treating physician. The expert staff from whom you have received the
medical device will select the appropriate size and instruct you regarding its use.
– remove the medical device prior to radiological examinations
– do not close it too tightly during longer periods of rest, e.g. when sleeping
– in case of numbness, loosen the medical device and remove it if necessary
– in case of persistent complaints, consult the physician or specialist retailer
– use the medical device in accordance with therapeutic needs
– only use other products simultaneously after consultation with your physician
– do not make any changes to the product
– do not wear it on open wounds
– do not use in case of intolerance of one of the materials used
– no re-use. This medical aid is intended for treating one patient only
– whilst wearing the brace, please neither use any creams nor ointments in
the vicinity of the attached aid as they can destroy the material
Fitting instructions
Open all Velcro fasteners.

Slip your hand into the hand brace whilst observing that the thumb is
guided through the thumb element. If required, the expert staff can adapt
the integrated aluminium splints on the back of the hand, in the palm region
and on the thumb element individually. Start by closing the strap (1) around
the wrist, followed by the metacarpus strap (2) and the strap on the lower
arm (3). Finally, close both straps (4) in the thumb region. Pay attention to
firm and comfortable fitting.

If downgrading the brace is required for therapeutic reasons, the attached
thumb element can be removed. In order to do this, loosen the Velcro
flaps on the attached thumb element.

Streifen Sie das Daumenelement über die Daumenspitze ab.
Ablegen
Öffnen Sie die Klettverschlüsse, lockern Sie alle Gurte und streifen Sie die
Orthese in Richtung der Finger ab. Um einen frühzeitigen Verschleiß der Klett-
flächen zu vermeiden, schließen Sie die Verschlüsse anschließend wieder.
Materialzusammensetzung
Polyamid (PA), Polyurethan (PUR), Baumwolle (BW)
Die genaue Materialzusammensetzung entnehmen Sie bitte dem eingenähten
Textiletikett.
Reinigungshinweise
Handwäsche 30 °C
trocknen Nicht bügeln
Alu-Schienen vor dem Waschen herausnehmen. Klettverschlüsse schließen,
um Beschädigung anderer Wäschestücke zu vermeiden. Keinen Weichspüler
verwenden. In Form ziehen und an der Luft trocknen.
Gewährleistung
Für das erworbene Produkt gelten die gesetzlichen Bestimmungen des
Landes, in dem Sie das Produkt bezogen haben. Bitte wenden Sie sich
an Ihren Fachhandel, sollten Sie einen Gewährleistungsfall vermuten.
Bitte das Produkt vor Einreichung eines Gewährleistungsfalles reinigen.
Wurden beiliegende Hinweise der Gebrauchsanweisung nicht ausreichend
beachtet, so kann die Gewährleistung beeinträchtigt werden bzw. entfallen.
Ausgeschlossen ist eine Gewährleistung bei nicht indikationsgerechter
Anwendung, Nichtbeachtung der Anwendungsrisiken, -hinweise sowie
eigenmächtig vorgenommenen Änderungen am Produkt.
Nutzungsdauer / Lebensdauer des Produkts
Die Lebensdauer des Medizinprodukts wird durch den natürlichen Verschleiß
bei sach- und anwendungsgemäßem Umgang bestimmt.
Meldepflicht
Kommt es bei der Anwendung des Medizinproduktes zu einer
schwerwiegenden Verschlechterung des Gesundheitszustandes, dann
melden Sie dies Ihrem Fachhändler oder uns als Hersteller sowie dem BfArM
(Bundesinstitut für Arzneimittel und Medizinprodukte).

Slip the thumb element off over the tip of the thumb.
Removal
Open the Velcro fasteners, loosen all the straps and slip the brace off towards
the fingers. Then, close the fasteners again in order to avoid early wear to the
Velcro surfaces.

The sewn in textile label provides the precise material composition.
Cleaning information
Hand-washing 30 °C
Do not iron Do not clean chemically
Remove the aluminium splints before washing. Close the Velcro fasteners in
order to avoid damaging other items of clothing. Do not use fabric conditioner.
Stretch back into shape and dry in the fresh air.
Guarantee
The legal regulations of the country in which you acquired the product apply
to the purchased product. Please contact your specialist retailer if you suspect
a warranty claim. Please clean the product before submitting a warranty
claim. If the enclosed instructions for use have not been properly observed,
the warranty may be impaired or cancelled. The warranty does not cover use
of the product inappropriate for the indication, non-observance of application
risks, instructions and unauthorised modifications to the product.
Useful life/Lifetime of the product
The lifetime of the medical device is determined by its natural wear and tear if
treated appropriately and as recommended.
Duty of notification
If a serious worsening of the state of health occurs when using the
medical device, you are obliged to notify the specialist dealer or us as the
manufacturer and the Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency
(MHRA).

Disposal

Indications
Ténosynovite sténosante de De Quervain, préopératoire, post-traumatique,
post-opératoire, p. ex. après reconstruction ligamentaire du pouce,
immobilisation en état rhumatismal et inflammatoire, en cas de maladies
dégénératives, p. ex. rhizarthrose, CTS.
Contre-indications
Troubles de la circulation sanguine d'origine diverse, troubles de la circulation
lymphatique y compris tuméfaction des tissus mous d'origine inconnue
éloignée de l'aide auxiliaire posée, troubles de la sensibilité de la région du
corps traitée, maladies cutanées sur les zones traitées.
