Description
The CPS2 is a 5 Volt external Lithium-Ion battery Pack. The package also includes a USB-to-Micro-USB charging
cable and a USB-to-Phono cable. This battery pack is compatible with all of Thorlabs' CPS Series Compact Laser
Modules. A fully charged CPS2 battery pack can power any CPS laser module for at least 14 hours of continuous
operation. It is also compatible with a broad range of electronics devices which can be driven/charged by a USB
port.

Charging the CPS2 External Battery Pack:
1. Plug the Micro-USB connector of the charging cable into the Input port of the CPS1.
2. Insert the USB end of the charging cable into (a) an AC adapter (not included) or (b) a computer USB
port.
3. The battery will automatically begin to charge.
Using the CPS2 to Power CPS Series Laser Modules:
1. Plug the USB port of the USB-to-Phono cable (included) into one of the battery pack's output ports.
2. Connect the phono jack to the CPS laser diode.
3. Press the on/off switch once to activate the battery pack.
4. To turn the laser off, press the on/off switch once again to deactivate the battery pack.
