Notice that one end has a tapped hole while the other end is does not (Figure 3a). A red dot also depicts what side has the tapped hole. Orient side rail support so the tapped hole is facing down and the hook-and-loop fastener is facing the front of the base.

Locate the Top Rail support (longest rail) and the remaining two side rail supports (shorter rails). Align the tapped hole in one of the side rail supports with the smaller of the two holes in cube on the end of the Top rail support (either side). Also, align the supports so the hook‐and‐loop fastener is facing the same direction. See Figure 5a. Insert one 1/4"‐20 Low Profile Socket Head Cap Screw into the large counter bored hole and thread it into the tapped hole in the side rail support, secure the rail to the cube by tightening down the screw with the 1/8" hex key. • Page 9 Laser Safety Barrier Chapter 2: Assembly Instructions 6. Repeat step 5 with the remaining rail joint clamp on the remaining side rail support in the base assembly. 7. Place the side rail and top rail support assembly on top of the base assembly so the side rail supports on each assembly are aligned with one another. The hook‐and‐loop fastener on the side rails should be on the same side.  Slide the two rail joint clamps up to the point where the side rail clamps meet one another and tighten the clamps using the 1/8" hex key so it locks both rails together. See Figure 8. • Page 10 Laser Safety Barrier Chapter 2: Assembly Instructions 8. Unroll the fabric barrier panel. Notice there is hook‐and‐loop fastener on three edges of the fabric. Align the barrier panel so the edge without a hook‐and‐loop‐fastener strip is on the bottom near the base. Now, attach one side of the panel to the hook‐and‐loop fastener on one the side rail supports. Stretch the material across the front of the frame and attach the other side of the panel to the hook‐and‐loop fastener on the remaining side rail. Finally, attach the panel to the hook‐and‐ loop fastener at the top of the panel. See Figure 9.
