To reattach the rubber band (drive belt) on the NAD 5120 turntable:
1. Remove the mat and lift off the subplatter. 2. Place the rubber band around the inner rim of the subplatter. 3. Hold the belt in place and carefully lower the subplatter back onto the spindle. 4. Through the access hole on the subplatter, stretch the belt to loop it around the motor pulley.
A diagram would show: - The belt looped around the inner rim of the subplatter. - The belt also looped around the small motor pulley located to the side.
This setup allows the motor to spin the subplatter via belt drive.
