19. The blower batteries are not fully charged at the time of delivery. They need to be fully recharged before you use them for the first time. For the first recharge cycle, charge the battery packs fully. 20. It is good practice to unplug the charger and remove the lithium-ion battery pack when not in use.

5124-051 40V MAX BRUSHLESS AXIAL FAN BLOWER † CHECKING THE BATTERY CHARGE STATUS The level of charge remaining in the battery can be checked by using the battery LED power indicator that is contained on the end of the battery.

Turn the battery (2) upside down and slide it onto the charger. NOTE: Make sure the grooves (3) in the sides of the battery slide over the matching tabs on the charger (4) until the battery latch “clicks” into place. NOTES: When the charger is plugged into the wall receptacle and NO battery is on the charger, the green indicator light (5) will turn ON indicating the charger is “live”.

To install the battery packs (FIG. 3) To install the battery packs into the bottom of the handle, align the rails of the battery pack with the rails in the handle and push the battery into the handle.
