The RATH® 2500-UPSMONITOR can be used on either the RATH® RP7700104 or RP7701500 to
provide a physical indication (via relay contact either closing or opening) of primary power loss.
Connecting 2500-UPSMONITOR:
1. Connect the Positive (+) lead of the supplied 24vdc transformer to the power input terminal marked 24
and the negative (-) lead to the power input terminal marked 0.
2. Connect signal wiring (not supplied) to the desired Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO)
contact and Common (COM) connections on one set of the relay output terminals.
3. Plug the 24vdc transformer into power outlet on UPS. Outlets marked Battery Backup monitor UPS
power. Outlet marked Surge Only monitors loss of primary power to UPS.
Note: When using the RP7701500 or 2500-PWRUPS, the transformer must be plugged into a parallel
AC power outlet to monitor the AC input to the unit.
4. Test unit by unplugging the primary power cable on UPS to check relay for change of state. To test loss
on RP7701500 or 2500-PWRUPS, either kill power on the 110vac outlet, or unplug the 24v
transformer.
