With or without cabinet

STEP 1 - INSTALLATION
Choose a location for your compressor that will be far enough from the shore to avoid
potential flooding. We recommend the installation of the compressor on a levelled base.
The compressor comes mostly pre-assembled. No electrical connection included.
Please consult a qualified electrician for all electrical connections.
Option 1: Without a cabinet
If your compressor comes without a cabinet, we strongly recommend your compressor
to be installed in a well-ventilated area. Make sure your compressor is safe from any
environmental damages, properly ventilated and allows a good air circulation.
Compressors without a cabinet require to be anchored on the ground or on a concrete
base.
Once the compressor is installed, an adapter will be required to be connected to the
compressor. (Pictures #1 and 2) Attach the threaded side of the provided adapter to the
compressor. Once the adapter is installed, insert a clamp to the heat resistant hose,
then, insert the heat resistant hose over the barbed part of the adapter and tighten the
clamp around the tubing using a nut driver or rachet. For the electrical connections,
consult a qualified electrician.
Option 2: With a cabinet
If your compressor comes with a cabinet, be sure that both the inlet vents (under the cabinet) and louvers
will not be blocked as fresh air is needed to keep the compressor from overheating. The cabinet can be
placed directly on the ground or can be permanently attached to a concrete pad. The bottom feet of the
cabinet have an insert which can be used to anchor the cabinet in place. (Picture #4) The cabinet should
be placed near the electrical panel which will provide power to the system. The adapter (picture #3) will
already be connected to the compressor.
There are no electrical outlets included in the cabinet.
Make sure an electrical connection is available for each
fan of the cabinet to ensure proper ventilation of the
compressor(s) and avoid overheating. For the electrical
connections, consult a qualified electrician.
For ease of maintenance or increased ventilation, the lid
and the walls of the cabinet can be removed to expose
the compressor. Four (4) bolts at the bottom of the cabinet are to be removed to release the sides.

  • Page 2 MAINTENANCE Check the compressor intake filter after the first 500 hours of operation. CanadianPond.ca Products Ltd. recommends checking the filter every month. Clean or replace as necessary. Failure to maintain a clean air filter will lead to premature failure and decreased performance of the compressor.
