The TOUCHPixx is an innovative touch panel allowing for accurate and deterministic timing. It is fully integrated with our VIEWPixx series monitors and our DATAPixx display driver. The TOUCHPixx can be installed directly on a VIEWPixx monitor or on a table.

Installing your TOUCHPixx Follow these instructions to install your TOUCHPixx. Note that depending on the exact product you ordered and whether or not it is shipped already mounted on a VIEWPixx or used as is on a tabletop, the installation procedures may vary.

6. Align the Mounting bracket over the VIEWPixx mounting holes and use the four (4) 4-40 x 0.75’’ screws provided with your TOUCHPixx to secure it in place. Only two screw positions are shown in the following figure. The other two screws are located on the other side.

7. Use the four (4) M4 x 10mm screws from your VIEWPixx package/VESA stand and screw them as shown below. 8. Replace the four (4) VIEWPixx screws with the four (4) thumbscrews supplied with your TOUCHPixx, as shown in the following picture.

Install the touchscreen over the VIEWPixx by bringing it down over the VIEWPixx and inserting the TOUCHPixx lower support brackets into the slits at the bottom of the touchscreen. The touchscreen’s upper support brackets should automatically lock the top portion of the screen in place.

Psychtoolbox All TOUCHPixx features can be accessed through the DATAPixx toolbox library included with the Psychtoolbox. The DATAPixx hardware toolbox is fully supported by the Psychophysics Toolbox (PTB) using Matlab or GNU/Octave under OS X, Windows and Linux.

MyVPixx. Low-level ANSI C API Insert the CD labeled “VPixx Technologies Software/Documentation” in your CD/DVD reader and browse it. The “Low Level C API\libdpx\src” folder in the Software folder contains the ANSI C APIs, which are compatible with Windows, MAC OS X and Linux. Do not forget that I/Os are named as DATAPixx I/Os.

MyVPixx account and selecting the proper software tools package for your operating system under the UPDATES tab. Take note that you can also use a TOUCHPixx demo to test the touch experience with your TOUCHPixx by using the vputil application.

Software Tool The vputil tool can be run from the main VPixx Technologies directory under the “Software Tools\vputil\bin” folder. This utility allows the user to control some of the VPixx equipment features. It can also be used to generate built-in test patterns from the equipment.
