The goal is for there to be an even flow throughout the entire bench. To accomplish this, the damper should be completely closed where the evacuation exhaust enters the bench and open at the end farthest away from the entrance. Top Panels Inspection Upon inspecting the top panels, you should notice that one side is flush, and the other side has a coarse texture. The side with the texture is the top of your bench and will be facing outwards.
