    62SX Petrol Chainsaw Safety If used correctly, the 62SX is a powerful, high performance tool. If used improperly or without due precaution, it may represent a hazard. For safe operation, always comply strictly with the safety rules that follow, as well as those found throughout this manual.
  • Page 4 62SX Petrol Chainsaw • WARNINGS ON THE HANDLING OF FUEL − The engine of this product is designed to run on a mixed fuel containing highly flammable gasoline. Never store fuel or refill the fuel tank in any place where there is a fire, electrical or welding sparks, or any other source of heat or fire which may ignite the fuel.

    62SX Petrol Chainsaw Set-Up Installing the Guide Bar and Saw Chain IMPORTANT! The chainsaw may come with plastic spacers over or around the bar studs - the spacer is for shipping purposes only and must be removed before mounting the chain guide bar. After removing the chain brake cover, remove any spacers, then mount the guide bar as described.

    62SX Petrol Chainsaw 5. Fit the chain brake cover to the power unit and fasten the nuts to “finger-tight”. 6. While holding up the guide bar, adjust the chain tension by turning the tensioner screw until the tie straps just touch the bottom side of the guide bar rail (see Figure F4).

If the chain is slow to stop or does not stop, replace the brake band and clutch drum before use (Figure F19).

Periodically check and clean the cylinder fins after removing the air cleaner and the cylinder cover. When installing the cylinder cover, make sure that switch wires and grommets are positioned correctly in place (Figure F29).
