phase angle adjustments should be made at 120 volts and 5 amperes). Then set VAB at
5
volts and adjust the proper reactor so that the mho unit closes its contacts at
pickup amperes

2%. \ The pickup should then be checked at 2700 with the same set
voltage.

Refine the adjustments of the
reactors until the pickup is within limits at both 2700 and 3300.
Note that an adjustment of the angle of maximum torque will have a secondary
effect on the reach of the unit, and vice versa.
Therefore, to ensure accurate
settings it is necessary to recheck the reach of a unit whenever its angle of
maximum torque setting is changed, and to continue a "cross-adjustment" routine of
reach and angle of maximum torque until both are within the limits specified above.
As noted in Table II Under the section on RATINGS, the angle of maximum torque
of the mho units can be adjusted up to 750 if desired.
If this change is made, the
reach of the mho units wi

increase sl ightly.
To make thi s adjustment, refer to
Table XIV and proceed as outlined below.
