DESCRIPTION

Mighty Pump™ gives contractors an easy way to remove blockages from A/C condensate drain lines, without the need for electricity, nitrogen tanks or expensive gas cartridges. Made of heavy-duty molded PVC, this lightweight, re-useable pump generates enough pressure to quickly clean slime, mold and dirt plugs from primary and secondary condensate drain lines. It's a reversible, hand-operated pump that can be used to vacuum or push-out a clogged drain line.

INSTRUCTIONS

READ ALL DIRECTIONS AND WARNINGS ON LABEL BEFORE USING
The pumps primary use is for clearing condensate drain lines, but it is also useful for moving water in other applications such as:

  • Draining a condensate overflow pan
  • Draining a water heater overflow pan
  • Draining a tub
  1. To vacuum a condensate drain line
    Connect the vacuum end of the Mighty Pump™, using the enclosed coupling, to the discharge end of the condensate drain line or item needing draining. Note the direction of the FLOW arrow on the bottom of the pump body. Place the discharge hose end in a bucket or drain for collection and disposal of the waste water.

  2. Push-out a condensate drain line
    Connect the pressure end of the Mighty Pump™, using the enclosed coupling, to the upstream end of the condensate line or item to be blown out. Note the direction of the FLOW arrow on the bottom of the pump body. Secure over ¾" pipe with supplied clamp.

Maintenance

  1. Clean unit after use by pumping clean water through unit until clean water is seen on the discharge side. A thorough, periodic cleaning and inspection is recommended after several uses.
  2. The check valves can be disassembled for inspection and cleaning if necessary.
  3. Hoses can be removed for cleaning if necessary.
  4. Remove pump body cap for thorough cleaning.
  5. Lubricate O-rings with silicone grease every 6 months or as needed.
    1. Remove the threaded cap and washer from the pump body.
    2. Clean the washer, O-rings, rubber washer, and pump interior.
    3. Lubricate with silicone grease
    4. Check the condition of the O-rings. If they are visually worn or leaking, replace them with the supplied spares or standard (AS568A 334 black Buna-N) O-rings.

Trouble Shooting

The pump is not pulling a vacuum

  1. Check hose connection
  2. Check the connections on the suction side of the pump. If the connections are leaking, use RectorSeal thread sealant or PTFE tape in the connections.
  3. Check for blockage of the hose or check valves
  4. Check the O-rings, if worn or in need of lubrication follow procedures described in item 4.
  5. Check rubber washers on piston. Tighten plastic lock nut (14) or use silicone grease to seal.

The pump will not pressurize

  1. Follow procedures described in section 6a.

PRECAUTIONS

  • The device creates a minimum of 5-psi. Do not use on systems that are loose or not solvent cement welded
  • Do not vacuum or pressurize toxic, carcinogenic, combustible or other hazardous materials
  • Do not place vacuum hose end on any part of the body
  • Do not place any loose object(s) in the pressure side nozzle
  • Dispose of pumped liquids in an approved manner
