QUICK USE
Install battery before use.
- Turn Battery Housing counterclockwise to unlock and expose battery slot.
- While holding lantern upside down, insert Li-ion Battery top down into battery slot. Top of battery is marked with

- Reattach Battery Housing by pressing down and turning clockwise until locked into place.
- For optimal performance, charge fully before first use.

Follow steps 1-4 for battery replacement.

CHARGING
Insert one end of USB-C Cable into USB-C Port and other end into external power source.
Note: Use included USB-C to USB-A adapter if you do not have a USB-C power source.
POWER & BRIGHTNESS
Use Dimmer Key to turn lantern on, off, and to adjust brightness levels

FAQ
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I RECHARGE THE BATTERY
To prolong the life ofthe Li-ion Battery, it's important to keep it charged. The battery needs to be charged every six months, even if not in regular use.
WHY IS THE BATTERY LIFE INDICATOR BLINKING
The Battery Life Indicator will begin blinking when it's time to charge the battery.
WHERE CAN I GET A REPLACEMENT BATTERY
The Railroad Lantern is only compatible with the Barebones-specific Li-ion Battery 2-18650 | 4400mAh 3.7V 16.28Wh. Different brands, sizes, capacity, or type may cause damage to the flashlight.
Replacement Barebones batteries can be purchased at www.barebonesliving.com.
GLASS GLOBE REPLACEMENT
BEFORE YOU START
It is important to identify if the Glass Globe on your lantern can be replaced. Turn your lantern upside down to view the bottom. If a Compass Logo is printed on the bottom ofthe Battery Housing, your Railroad Lantern's Glass Globe can be replaced.
IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A COMPASS LOGO
If the Compass Logo is not printed on the bottom ofthe battery cover, the glass on your version of the Railroad Lantern cannot be replaced. Please contact customer support ifyou have any questions.
REMOVING THE GLASS GLOBE
Follow these steps to clean or replace the Glass Globe.
- Unscrew and remove Screw Cap and Rubber Gasket.
- Lift Handle and Metal Hood directly up from Center Rod.
- Unscrew Hex Nut from threaded segment of Center Rod.
READ NEXT STEPS CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTINUING
The LED Module is covered by the Water Shroud and must be removed first in order to disconnect wiring.
- First, remove Water Shroud by lifting directly up from Center Rod.
- Disconnect Wiring Connector by gently pulling up.
Insert Wire into the hole on the side of Center Rod. - Lift LED Module up from Center Rod.
Note: Once removed, safely set LED Module upside-down on aflat surface to prevent damaging LEDs.
- Remove Glass Globe.
REASSEMBLING THE PRODUCT
- Place Glass Globe into correct position over Center Rod.
- Slide LED Module over Center Rod. Align LED Module with two pegs on Center Rod.
- Wire Connector should line up with hole on side of Center Rod.
- Pull wiring from Center Rod and Connect to Wiring Connector.
- Slide Water Shroud over Center Rod and place on top of LED Module.
- Screw Hex Nut through threaded segment on Center Rod. Hex Nut can be securely tightened by hand. Do not overtighten.
- Place Metal Hood over Center Rod on top of Cage. There are two notches under the metal hood that align with the top of the cage. The Barebones logo plate lines up with power switch.
- Place Rubber Gasket over Center Rod and securely tighten Screw Cap by hand.
