Quick Start


Charge HF Wireless for at least 6 hours before using it for the first time.

  1. Make sure HF Wireless is charged and powered off.
  2. Power on your Bluetooth® device. Make sure that it's nearby within range and that its Bluetooth connectivity is on.
  3. Press and hold HF Wireless's Function Button for 5 seconds. Its blue and red lights will flash quickly, and you'll hear a tone.
  4. On your Bluetooth device in its Bluetooth settings, select HF Wireless. (If you are prompted to enter a PIN, enter 0000.) Your Bluetooth device is now paired to HF Wireless! You can now play audio or make a call.
    To power HF Wireless off, press and hold the Function Button for 3 seconds.

Features

  1. Audio Input: Use the included 1/8" (3.5mm) audio cable to connect this jack to the headphone output of your smartphone, computer, media player, etc. Do this when you want to use HF Wireless as normal "wired" headphones.
  2. Microphone: This microphone will receive sound when using HF Wireless as a wireless headset for your phone. Be sure not to cover this microphone during a call. See Basic Operation > Using the Phone to learn more.
  3. Charging Input: Use the included USB cable to connect this jack to (A) a USB port on your computer or (B) a USB power adapter connected to a power outlet. See Basic Operation > Charging to learn about charging its internal battery.
  4. Function Button: Use this button for several functions while pairing, playing audio, or using HF Wireless as a phone headset. Press and hold this button for 2–3 seconds to power HF Wireless on or off. See Basic Operation to learn more.
  5. +/– Buttons: Use these buttons to skip to the next or previous track or to increase or decrease the volume. See Basic Operation > Playing Audio to learn more.

Basic Operation

Charging


Charge HF Wireless for at least 6 hours before using it for the first time or if you haven't used it for more than a year.

To charge HF Wireless's battery, use the included USB charging cable to connect it to a standard USB power adapter (sold separately) or a USB port on your computer (powered on).

  • When the battery is low, its red light will flash.
  • While the battery is charging, its red light will be on.
  • When the battery is done charging, the red light will turn off.

Pairing

Pairing your Bluetooth device with HF Wireless allows the two devices to communicate wirelessly with each other. Follow a set of steps below to do this.

Standard Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Power on your Bluetooth device. Make sure that it's nearby within range and that its Bluetooth connectivity is on.
  2. Make sure HF Wireless is off, and then press and hold the Function Button for 5 seconds. The blue and red lights will flash quickly, and you'll hear a tone.
  3. In the Bluetooth settings of your device, select HF Wireless. (If you are prompted to enter a PIN, enter 0000.)

Your device is now paired to HF Wireless! You can now play audio or make a call.

HF Wireless will now "remember" your device—simply do Step 3 (with both devices powered on) to pair them in the future. HF Wireless remembers up to 8 Bluetooth devices.

NFC (Near-Field Communication)

(for NFC-enabled devices only)

  1. Power on your NFC-enabled device. Make sure that its NFC ison.
  2. Make sure HF Wireless is off, and then press and hold the Function Button for 5 seconds. The blue and red lights will flash quickly, and you'll hear a tone.
  3. Touch your enabled device to the NFC logo on HF Wireless.
  4. On your device, confirm that you want to connect to HF Wireless.
    Your device is now paired to HF Wireless! You can now play audio or make a call.

Multi-Device Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Power on your Bluetooth devices. Make sure that they're nearby within range and that their Bluetooth connectivity ison.
  2. Make sure HF Wireless isoff, and then press and hold the Function Button for 5 seconds. The blue and red lights will flash quickly, and you'll hear a tone.
  3. In the Bluetooth settings of your first device, select HF Wireless. (If you are prompted to enter a PIN, enter 0000.)
  4. Press and hold the Function Button for 3 seconds to power HF Wireless off.
  5. Repeat Steps 2–3 for your second device.
  6. On your first device in its Bluetooth settings, select HF Wireless once more.
    Both devices are now paired to HF Wireless! You can now switch between each device without having to repeatedly pair and unpair them. For instance, you can listen to music on your first device, pause it and accept a call on the second device, and then return to listening to the first device once your call is done.

To clear all previously paired devices from HF Wireless's memory

  1. Make sure HF Wireless is off, and then press and hold the Function Button for 5 seconds. The blue and red lights will flash quickly, and you'll hear a tone.
  2. Press and hold the Function Button and button simultaneously for 5 seconds.

Playing Audio

After pairing your Bluetooth device to HF Wireless, play audio through it using the following controls:

  • To play or pause the track, press the Function Button.
  • To skip to the next or previous track, briefly press the + or button (respectively).
  • To increase or decrease the volume, press and hold the + or button (respectively).

Using the Phone

After pairing your Bluetooth device to HF Wireless, use it as a wireless headset for your phone with the following controls:

  • To answer an incoming call, press the Function Button once.
  • To decline an incoming call, press and hold the Function Button for 1–2 seconds.
  • To end a call, press the Function Button once during the call.
  • To redial the last number, press the Function Button twice quickly when you are not in the middle of a call. (You can even do this when you are playing audio.)
  • To transfer the call to your Bluetooth device, press the Function Button twice quickly during a call.
