This manual describes the commissioning of the DayClock with (and without) DayClock subscription.     1 Introduction Intended and unintended use On the one hand, the DayClock Generations is intended as a tool for elderly people; to give them more control over the planning of activities as well as time in general. On the other hand, for the end user, the DayClock Generations is meant to support contact with their loved ones, by receiving photos, messages and YouTube videos (e.g.

    User manual The subscription allows unlimited use of all functions of the DayClock as well as the DayClocks Calendar app. A WiFi connection or SIM card is required to use the subscription. You will receive an e-mail at the end of the subscription period with a payment link from DayClocks to pay your subscription for one year.

    DayClock Generations Place the tablet on the supplied stand. We recommend leaving the DayClock always connected to the adapter. If you need to move the DayClock, bear in mind a battery life of three hours. Press and hold the power switch to start the DayClock and wait until the image in figure 1 appears.

    User manual 4 Preparing the DayClock You can start using your DayClock after making the preparations in chapter 3! The date and time display are already set. This chapter describes how you can modify the DayClock’s other settings to suit your preferences. The settings menu General of the DayClock To access the settings menu, do the following: Hold a finger on the screen for about five seconds until a green line appears.
  • Page 11 DayClock Generations The settings menu consists of five submenus and the check updates button (figure 7). These submenus can be gone through step by step to set up the DayClock as desired. You can return to the home screen at any time by pressing <- at the top left of the screen.

Under Clock, choose the way the clock is displayed (analogue, digital, the combination of analogue and digital, a day view or a week view).

    DayClock Generations Under colours, you have the option to adjust the screen colour of the clock and the text of the background. - Press the white square to adjust the text colour. The default colour is white. - Press the black square to adjust the background colour. The default colour is black.

    User manual Sleep mode Sleep mode is similar to a Standby function. The screen of the DayClock switches off for a certain time and turns black. The synchronisation function remains enabled.   • Page 19 Press the Share button below the video. Press the Copy Link or Copy button to copy the link of the video. Open the DayClocks Agenda app. Open an existing activity or open the activity menu to create a new activity.

    User manual To delete activities, you can use the red “Delete” button below the activity menu. Checking display You can check the screen display of DayClock with your smartphone. At the end of the call, the connection can be disconnected by pressing the red bell icon in the app. On the DayClock, the clock (and any activity) will reappear.

    6 Guarantee DayClocks adheres to all legal guarantee requirements. The customer can only claim a guarantee from DayClocks if the product has been bought from DayClocks or an authorized reseller of DayClocks. The guarantee period commences on the date of purchase.
