  • Page 7: Step #1: Layout The Pieces Of Your Frame Kit

Step #1: Layout the Pieces of Your Frame Kit Layout all pieces of your frame kit for your SwingBay. You should have received a kit of aluminum bars with 4 bars labeled A, 4 bars labeled B, 6 labeled C, 4 labeled D. You will also want to layout all of the provided hardware prior to beginning the installation.
  • Page 8 Next you will bolt the faceplate to the A bar using the screw. Attach and tighten the screw until tight to the faceplate. Be sure to slide the faceplate so it is only half way down the A bar. Repeat this process on all 4 sides of this end of the A bar. So that you have 4 faceplates, 4 8 mm bolts, 4 small washers, and 4 large washers all attached to this end of the A bar.
  • Page 9 Now, slide the other A bar into place so that the end of the faceplate slides into the groove of the other A bar. Now, attach an 8 mm bolt, a small washer, and a larger washer to into all 4 sides and tighten.

  • Page 11: Step #4: Assemble The Left Side Wall

Step #4: Assemble the Left Side Wall 4A: Prepare Bars of Left Wall for Assembly This part can be confusing, so in this step we are going to have you simply lay the bars of the left side wall out paying close attention to the corners as described below. You will have a D bar on both the top and bottom.
  • Page 12 To assemble these open corners, start by sliding a square nut into the groove one of the bars. Once the nut is in place, slide a corner bracket into the same groove of the bar and slide the square nut underneath the corner bracket so that the hole of the square nut lines up with the hole of the corner bracket.
  • Page 13 Now, you will start to create the corner attachment. Slide another square nut into the groove of the bar you are connecting. You will then line up the hole of this square nut with the other hole of the corner bracket. Once this is complete, insert another bolt AND a washer through both the hole of the corner bracket and the hole of the square nut and tighten.
  • Page 14 Below, you will see an example of how the corner will look after it is attached using “ closed corner” assembly. With “ closed corner” assembly, both bars will be flush with the bracket and the corner will be left open. To start, you will slide a square nut into the groove of the one of the bars that you will be connecting.
  • Page 15 The four corners of the left wall are now complete and you should have the following connections: ● Top left corner (where the B to B bar meets the top D bar) attached using “ open corner” assembly ● Top right corner (where the A to A bar meets the top D bar) attached using “...

Step #5: Assemble the Right Side Wall 5A: Prepare Bars of Right Wall for Assembly The right side wall will be a mirror image of the left side wall. • Page 21 When doing this, it is helpful to be on a step stool so you can reach the top corners more easily. While you are on the ladder, be sure to weigh down the bottom parts of the frame so the frame does not tip over while working.

  • Page 23: Step #7: Attach Blackout Curtain To Frame

For this step, you will need assistance from at least one more person. You will also want to use a step stool to get the blackout curtain around the top of the frame. Start by laying out the blackout curtain on the ground and find the “Rain or Shine Golf SwingBay” patch.
  • Page 24: Step #9: Complete Wrapping Of Blackout Curtain To Frame

9A: Place the screen in the correct position in preparation for bungee attachment To begin attaching the SwingBay Screen to the frame, locate the flap of the screen that DOES NOT have a velcro strip. This side will be the bottom part of your screen and that flap (without velcro) will lay on the ground.
  • Page 26 SwingBay screen to the Blackout Curtains. Locate the velcro strip along both the right and left side as well as the top flaps of the SwingBay screen.
