    MAGNABEND 211 R Installation The Magnabend 211 must be located on a level, concrete floor with enough space to provide adequate clearance for handling rebar, maintenance and production storage. The concrete floor should have a minimum thickness of 5 in.

    MAGNABEND 211 R ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The main electrical cabinet for the Magnabend 211 can be positioned as desired.     MAGNABEND 211 R Electrical Enclosures and Connections 1. The main controller work station assembly is comprised of the HMI Touchscreen, console controls and the pedestal. The touchscreen cabinet opens from the rear to expose the touchscreen connections and USB ports. The control console cabinet panel lifts from the top/front and houses the GPIO PCBs and the Input PCB.

    MAGNABEND 211 R PNEUMATIC SYSTEM The pneumatic system includes filter/lubricator/regulator assembly, a solenoid valve manifold block, flow controls and air cylinders. All regulators and flow controls have been set at the factory and should not require adjustment. If adjustments are required, they should only be made by a qualified individual. Adjust so that components do not move in a violent or unsafe manner.

    MAGNABEND 211 R Pneumatic Connections 1. Air cylinders actuate the pop up bar guides on conveyor, lift-off arms, grippers and tooling assist plungers on each bend box. 2. Connect center support hoses (A) to couplers mounted on supports. 3. The pneumatic system solenoid valve manifold is located in the Stationary Bender Box. Most air system solenoid valves are located here.

    MAGNABEND 211 R GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Magnabend 211 is an automatic rebar bending machine that bends from manually loaded bar stock. The rebar is bent either automatically as programmed in the controller, or manually through operator interface with the control console.

    MAGNABEND 211 R Conveyor Bar is loaded on conveyor and positioned for loading onto bend boxes. Center Supports The center supports are used to prevent sagging of long bar. Position supports as needed along track. Stationary Bend Box The stationary bend box will bend in both directions around a forming tool with a maximum bend angle of 180°.

    MAGNABEND 211 R MACHINE OPERATION 1. To remove installed tooling, use the TOOLING selector switch (A) to raise tooling. Remove tool and place on tooling tray. There is a tooling selector switch on the Stationary Bender and one on the Movable Bender.
  • Page 36 MAGNABEND 211 R 3. If using mandrel tooling, rotate knob (C) to adjust backer / guide ramp assembly (D) into position to allow bars to be properly guided into the tooling. 4. When using split tooling, replace backer / guide ramp assembly with split tooling guide ramp (E).

    MAGNABEND 211 R Keypad Pictured above is the keypad that is used to enter information into the controller. The function of keys F1-F8 will vary depending on what screen is being viewed. The F1-F8 keys that are active at any given time will be displayed across the top of each screen.

    The File Revision date is identified in the lower left hand corner and a list of files and I/O are presented below the KRB Logo. If the system check is OK, then the program will automatically display the Home PROGRAM page.

  • Page 53 MAGNABEND 211 R Homing the Movable Bender The Moving Bender Box will need to be HOMED. Select F5 from the Pop Up Window to traverse the Moving Bender Box to the HOME position. POP UP WINDOW (When first powered up, the machine will do a travel homing sequence.) By pressing F5, the movable bend box will move toward the stationary bend box.
