    Software Installation The bundled CD contains many useful PVR tools. Follow the instructions below to complete the installation. 1. Insert the Installation CD into CD-ROM. The Select Lan- guage dialog box appears. 2. Select your preferred language and click “ OK” to continue. 3.

    Connecting to PC Converting and Transferring Files Power on the PVR and connect it to the computer with the provided USB cable. A mode switch screen appears. Then PVR Console (Refer to Page 10 for more information) appears.

Note2: Use only File Converter to convert and transfer video files to PVR. The source video can come from a variety of different sources and in a number of different formats.

    PVR Console PVR Console consists of 5 applications. A. File Converter Convers multimedia files into playable formats on PVR. B. Disk Tools Calls up Microsoft’s Disk Checkup and Disk Defragmenter programs for system diagnosis and rearrangement. C. Calendar to Go Synchronizes the calendar and event data between PC (from Outlook2000/2002/2003 or e-Life Pal) and PVR.

    BASIC FUNCTIONS PHOTO PLAYER Photo Playback Select PHOTO PLAYER in the Main Menu and press OK button to enter. Multiple Photo View (Default): Now you will see photo thumbnails are displayed. Single Photo View: To view a single photo,press buttons to select and press button to display.

    PHOTO PLAYER Zoom Select PHOTO PLAYER in the Main Menu and press OK button to enter. Press buttons to select a photo and press button to view. To zoom in on the selected photo, press button. The selected photo will be magnified by 2X. To magnify more, press button again.

    PHOTO PLAYER Record Message to a Photo Select PHOTO PLAYER in the Main Menu and press OK button to enter. Press buttons to select a photo you want to attach a voice message to and press REC button. The screen on the left appears. Simply press button to start recording.

    PHOTO PLAYER Playback/Delete Message Attached to Photo Select PHOTO PLAYER in the Main Menu and press OK button to enter. Select photo with a voice message attached. Press MENU button and scroll down to select icon. Press button to enter PLAY VOICE. Play Voice: Press button twice to start playing.

To delete more voice messages, scroll up icon and press buttons to select. Scroll down to and press button to delete. When the voice message is deleted, the icon will be removed from the photo.

    FILE BROWSER Sort Use the File Browser tool to organize the large collection of media in your PVR. Enter FILE BROWSER. Press MENU button and scroll down to select icon. Press button to highlight BY TYPE and press button to confirm. The files will be sorted by type accordingly.

    FILE BROWSER Rename To change the file name in the PVR, you will need this useful tool to help. Enter FILE BROWSER. Press buttons to highlight a file you want to rename and press button to select. Press MENU button and scroll down to select icon.

    CALENDAR Select CALENDAR in the Main Menu and press OK button to enter. The Calendar appears. You will see TODAY is highlighted in orange. Note: The Calendar appears with a monthly display. To switch to a weekly or daily display, press button.

    CALENDAR You can import your own calendar data from either Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/2003 or the provided e-Life Pal program. The data will then appear in the calendar. Import from Outlook (e.g. Outlook 2000) 1. Open Outlook 2000’s Calendar. 2. Double-click on the time frame to open a new event.

    CALENDAR Import from e-Life Pal 1. Open and enter e-Life Pal and click on the Edit or Calendar tab. 2. Click on the Menu tab and select Settings icon. 3. Select Date and Type and leave your message on the Event palette.
